thank you it is the first chinese dragon I've ever done, I was reluctant to post. I had two options with the picture through photobucket really big or really small I can post the bigger one if you want - but then you will see my hairy leg- LOL

I think the dragon is great! It takes a lot of guts to pose for your first time.

I didn't look before I posted (or I never would have) and there are alot of dragons, I was going to do a really quick 2 min cheek art kangaroo and emu- but thought its a very Australia thing-not too, then I was going to do a pheonix mask but the only child, that would sit still got a sty in her eye and is out for two weeks. so I went with the dragon. Thank you for the compliment, there are some lovley things on here already- and I am sure there will be more.

I still am having trouble posted my entry.....it says i cannot do it for 7 days.

3 once photo is on there edit to resise if you have too
4 click on image link( it will say copyied)
paste it to your post

Was reluctant to post this one. Not that happy with my line work, and have more ideas around it, but not motivated to repaint it. Then I had no end of trouble getting this posted tonight. Maybe that was a sign. hahaha. Was using Google Chrome - tried over and over. Nothing. Had a crazy idea to try my old Explorer and it came up first go!! Don't understand it. Anyways......

Was motivated by my nieces party I did on Friday night. All the girls just loved the little dauber I used to create an opal type gem. I also wanted to use the peacock cake I got from the forum shop for something other than peacock feathers. So....

Products used. The custom made Peacock feather split by TAG. DFX black and White. Daubers. Sponge. Small flat. No 2 round......AND false eyelashes!!! Yay, been wanting to use these since I picked them up for the glue the other week.

I am not sure why my slide show is playing in reverse on photo bucket it is going the right way. Anyway very quick and simple design I have been lucky enough to be taught one stroke by the lovely Claire Howkins and I have always loved Cree Dykins work and her use of barbed wire. Roses are not great but I am working on it.

Metina. Sorry guess I should have named it more accurately. I mentioned above it was from your shop. Had to just go back into your shop to check for the name. It's actually called Elegant Feather. I got a few of the custom made splits you got in and love them.

you know what it isnt if worth it....I have tried for five days ..and it is not working ...forget it..

materials used: dfx black, darkgreen-lightgreen-white dfx baby artycake, red-yellow-white-black dfx artycake, one inch flat brush, 1cm flat brush, roud brush number 2, 2 pouncers and the dotterwand

step1: using the 1 inch flat brush colour above the eyes
step2: using the pouncers create bases for the roses
step3: using the smaller flat brush create leaves
step4: with the round brush create black detail in the roses and outlines
step5: intesify the lines around the eyes and make them wobbly and add dots in black with the dotterwand

I thought deadline for this was end of September. Just noticed it's actually end of October! Guess we'll have lots of choice on this one.

well..Lilly Walters asked me if she could use these roses to teach in her flower classes..I was so proud!!..so I thougt I would use them in the challenge..

I use splitcakes all the time, so creating a new design for this challenge is actually a challenge!

Used Fairy Garden TAG split (custome made for Metina) and TAG Tropical split. DFX white and black. No 2 round and No 16 Flat. Small flat.

Elantura. You can post as many entries as you like. I wasn't that happy with my first entry and wanted to do something else. I was thinking I only had till end of the month. Oh well, will just have to keep coming up with other stuff! haaha

Brushes
00 art shop liner brush, Royal 10 flat, No 2 round (for leaves swirl), Tag 12
1. Make flowers with rose split and 10 flat
2. Make legs arms and head with teddy bear split and 10 flat
3. Make dress with black iris and 12 flat
4. Make hair with frangippanni and 10 flat
5. Make wings avoiding hair with tag dolphin
6. Add details eyes knees wings etc in black with liner
7. Add white dots and linner
8. Add centres to flowers with frangipani cake and liner
