Re: Post Submissions Here!
First one...
Using a sponge and Snazaroo gray, made two buildings. Using a small round brush and Snazaroo black, outlined.
Made windows on both, small round brush and black for one bldg. and small flat brush and white for the other.
Painted a long "web" using a liner brush in Kryolan silver. Outlined a basic figure on the end with a liner brush in Snazaroo red.
Filled in the figure with a liner brush using Snazaroo red and a medium shade of blue.
Outlined in black with a liner brush, added some little web markings on the face only to keep the design simple and uncluttered, also a touch of white for the eyes.
added a silver web at the top of the face for a finishing touch...

Second one (and I know I'm not the first to paint the torn mask from the first Spiderman movie, but my husband really wanted me to do it)...
Using a sponge, I put on the main parts of Snazaroo red, then cleaned up the edges and filled in the smaller lines with a small round brush.
Using a large round brush and Snazaroo black, painted around the eye and smudged along all of the rough edges of the torn mask.
Using a small round brush and Snazaroo black, put in all the webs and broken webs as well as some shading inside the broken eyepiece area.
Finally, added some Kryolan silver for the broken pieces of eyepiece using a small flat brush. And added some red under the eyebrow for blood.

Re: Post Submissions Here!
I did this the first month I started face painting. I'm posting it more as an example for ideas since we are putting 'Spiderman things here'....and I don't have a true pictorial 'step by step' for a contest entry.
I only have the final pic, but I used a number 4 round brush, Paradise Berry Red and Paradise Silver sponged on each side of the face and then used the brush with Paradise Black for the line work and the spider. I then used Wolfe white for some web highlights and the spider body highlight... It's pretty straight forward!
He was a VERY ticklish boy and kept moving around alot! He also was 'eye phobic' and I could not get any closer with the colors!! His sister was actually amazed I got that much paint on him...she said he usually freaks out and doesn't let the artist finish! He was great practice though and has the cutest smile and eyes!!

Re: Post Submissions Here!
I did this design around Halloween last year...I got the idea from a 'oval' shaped playing card my son had with Spiderman's face on it. This is my middle son, David. He loves spiderman, but doesn't like alot of paint on his face. He asked me for a 'simple' Spiderman eye. He also wanted me to draw webs shooting down his wrists and fingers (you can just make them out in the pic). It was SUPER fast and he loved it! He wore this desin most of the day...that's the longest he's ever let the paints stay on his face before 'wigging out' at the feel of it (he's was 4 years old at the time).
I used a number 4 round to do the black webs on the hands/wrists/fingers and on the Paradise Berry Red. I used a large flat brush to do the red with, as he hates the feel of a sponge near or on his eye. It worked much better for me and he held still and I got a decent amount of control for doing the red!
Here is it...again, I only have the final picture but it's really simple and is another 'fast' design if you get Spiderman requests!

Shiny Spiderman
Supplies used:
Mehron Metallic Powder Copper
Mehron Precious Gem Powder Pearl, Ruby, Sapphire
Ben Nye Lumiere cherry red
Wolf Black, White
Kryolan Interferenz Bronze
No. 5 and NO. 1 round brushes
3/4 flat brush
Blush brush
* used the blush brush to powder face with the copper powder, & used the 3/4 flat brush to fill in and smooth out.
* put a netting over my face and powdered on the ruby precious gem powder, trying to give the base a kind of scaly texture like the movie spiderman costume had (think it would have been better with a slightly smaller holes in the netting)
* The ruby wasn't red enough so added some Ben Nye Lumiere red, which I scraped into loose powder form with the non-bristled end of my brush, and applied with the 3/4 flat brush
* used the 3/4 flat brush to apply the sapphire gem powder around the outside edges of the face.
* painted the white shapes around the eyes using a No. 1 round paint brush with wolf white.
* dusted the white with pearl precious gem powder to maintain a consistency of sparkle/shine
* painted the black webbing and outlines with a No. 1 round paint brush with wolf black
* highlighted the black web lines with bronze (also sort of fixed some of the errors made with the black)

Re: Post Submissions Here!
I'm going to play, too
Using Caran D'ache Neocolor II in White, painted around my eye with a Royal Softgrip 4 round. Also sponged some Kryolan Silver following the flow that was in my head.
Same brush, Caran D'ache Neocolor II in Scarlet, curled the ends of the one-eye mask, and prepped for web-like edges. Painted lips to match!
Outlined the mask in Caran D'ache Neocolor II Black, with a Royal Softgrip 2 Round.
Added webbing. (Same paint, same brush)
Same brush, same paint. Added "eyeliner" on my upper lid, a mini web and spider.
Better view of the spider:

Re: Post Submissions Here!
Thanks! I just saw the contest posting last night, and figured, who cares if it's 1am? May as well paint! Haha.
Re: Post Submissions Here!
Awesome ladies! Who knew spiderman (women) could be so cute and kinda sexy!! I love the Kathy's Gold 'Bling Spidy' and Kris feminine mask!
Spider web eye design
I used a navy blue Klutz brush for the black, but I don't know the size. For the white I used an Artcolor brush. I'm also unsure of the size since the paint has chipped off!
Using Wolfe black, I painted a web design by the corner of one eye. On the opposite side I painted a web starting at the temple and going across the forehead. I then painted a spider dangling from the web.
Using Wolfe white, I added highlights to both of the webs.
Using white cosmetic glitter from Walmart(!), I added a bit to the spider's body. It's hard to see.
The final product!

Faded Spidey
I'm afraid mine and CO Fun's look similar but I swear I wasn't copying!
Final Spidey:
Start with the curved side of your sponge loaded w/Snaz white, light blue and sky blue:
Then sponge the eyes and bridge of nose:
Then sponge the color base by rocking and pressing the curved side of the sponge:
Then the lines and spider (could even stop here) done with Paradise Black, a round #6 brush and round #4 brush:
Then Paradise Silver Bullet with a round #4 brush for for some highlights and the lips and presto!
Thanks!

Lori, Michelle, OC...WOW. Those are all awesome! I love the blue on the last one..it's very different and I've not seen anything like that yet! I love the blue/purply masks too! They all have great 'points' and reasons to love them! Thank you for posting!
