Re: Post Submissions Here!
I hope to post a couple more designs that my husband has come up with. Both he and my son are major Spidey fans, so this is the perfect contest theme for my family!

Re: Post Submissions Here!
This face is based on the Spiderman 2099 character (a futuristic Spiderman who's more like a vigilante than a super hero). My husband came up with the design. Wow, he's loving this competition! If you'd like to see what the character looks like, just Google it.
1. Paint the red line designs with Wolfe red, using a #6 round brush (sorry no brand printed on it).
2. Paint blue areas using Paradise blue with #4 shader from Contemporary Crafts.
3. Add black curved lines with Paradise black and #3 round brush from Contemporary Crafts.
4. Sponge lips with Snazaroo pale blue.
5. Blend black lines into blue using barely wet #8 Artcolor shader.
6. Lightly dab some Paradise black on lips using #3 round brush from Contemporary Crafts.
7. Blend black with blue on lips with barely wet #8 Artcolor shader.
The finished Spiderman 2099!

Re: Post Submissions Here!
Here is my torn Spiderman "3" version....
I used a large filbert brush and Snaz red for the base.
Then I used a small filbert brush with wolfe white to shade the eye area.
I outlined eye in wolfe black and shaded.
Added black spidey lines with my round no. 4.
With round no. 5, used wolfe black to add the "black, evil, spidey"
Then added shadows with wet brush.

Here is my other....
I used a round No.4 and wolfe black to outline my "torn skin" area.
Then added spidey lines.
Added Snaz red for Spidey skin and then I thinned the red with water to add the "irritated skin" around the edges using my filbert brush.
Then I added wolfe black for shadows using a filbert brush.
Then a few wolfe white highlights with my filbert brush.

Hello all - this is my very first post and first attempt to use photobucket.
Alas, while the application is simple to use I can't seem to attach a file .. or save one.
Instead they offer a direct link to the slideshow:
please visit https://s612.photobucket.com/albums/tt205/avigailmilder/?action=view¤t=aed72598.pbw
In the end I opted to also upload them here.. see below.
thanks!
Avigail Milder
process notes:
1) sponge + wolfe white to create eyes
2) Double loaded (wolfe white + snaz red) to create under painting for mask --- 3d effect
4) Angular shader 1/4" with Wolfe Black to outline eyes
5) #3 brush Wolfe Black to create web
6) #3 brush Wolfe White to add highlights
7) daz it!

wow, who'd a thought there could be so many COOL and different versions of a spiderman mask, love them all !
Re: Post Submissions Here!
Ok...got inspired today and have been trying to 'publish' the how to and get this uploaded before tomorrow's cut off! I've really enjoyed all the variety the contest has offered. Great job everyone!
Here is something 'for the girls'....they like spidery things too! Oh, this is my favorite for submission, since I'd had two others also.
SPIDER QUEEN BLING
Here are some 'shots' for the contest entry and if you don't want to see the step by step!
Bling Free Pic (nice standard quick job for girls):
Bling Pic (if you have a few mintues extra):
Artist Gone Wild from lack of painting the last few weeks!.....Crazy Bling!

Re: Post Submissions Here!
the video says it's private and won't let me watch it at all... that's a cute design though!
Re: Post Submissions Here!
Ok, I switched my 'private' not working youtube for a photobucket show! I have a youtube of this too...but I'm not posting it here, as it has music. It's 'live' on youtube now.
Thanks for the comments!
Avigal I wanted to say how much I love the two toned striping you did. That really looks awesome with the lines over it! That picture would qualify for next months competition too! I'll have to study that technique more!

Re: Post Submissions Here!
Oh sorry! I mention it, the red glitter gel, on the youtube, but forgot on the photobucket slideshow!
It's just red glitter (cosmetic grade...fine) mixed with a dab of the same aloe gel. I just applied it with the tip of a small liner brush. I made up a bag of it since I'm doing a teen girl's birthday party this weekend and needed 'girly' colors!
Just glad I got it all finished before the deadline!
