Ok, so here was my odd request! "A quill and ink, please." This was fun! May do a second one of the same request. :-)

Tools:
TAG Berry Wine
Wolfe Gold
DFX White and Black
1" flat brush
4 round brush
2 round brush
Sponge

Step 1 - Sponged Berry Wine and Gold on eyes.
Step 2 - Painted quill feather with the 1" flat brush using DFX White.
Step 3 - Painted swirls and some dots (ink) with 4 round brush using DFX Black.
Step 4 - Outlined the quill feather with 2 round brush using DFX Black.
Step 5 - Outline eyes, painted the signature below the quill, and added more dots with 2 round brush using DFX Black.
Step 6 - Added highlights to the swirls with 4 round brush using DFX White. Painted lips with Berry Wine and DFX Black.

These odd request are amazing! Looks like a fun challenge

After looking at others, i should of got some idea from google..but i just went off the top of my head! Now that I look at it more and more it looks like an oger! Not what I planned on..I hope i posted this all correctly!

So, my request was a Liger with a half tiger/half lion face. My first thought was to go with the vertical split I've seen around, but instead I opted for a horizontal split with tiger on top and lion on bottom. I don't know why the slideshow isn't in the right order, but you get the idea.

My reguest is, "I want a Narwhal on my face!". So this is what I came up with.
Step #1 First I used Havannah Sunrise TAG cake from the forum shop, just cause it's awesome, and I think every design needs it,LOL. I put it on with a sponge.
Step #2 Draw a Narwhal shape in paradise grey using a #4 round brush.
Step #3 Outline in Wolfe black witha #4 round make an island on the other side. I also added some circles then filled in the space between with black.
Step #4 Add a Palm tree, some little birds with wolfe black. With the same brush add teardrops in the cented. Touch up with a #2 brush and some Wolfe white. Make stars and dots.

When my daughter saw this ,she said," Hey you should send a picture of that to that guy you took a class from!" LOL I said,"I don't think so Jessie!" It was Pashur's tribal class, I will not be sending Pashur a picture of a Tribal Narwhal, LOL. Although he did say you can make ANYTHING into a tribal design.

I agree with you daughter. I think you underestimate the quality of your work Jody. We have got to see it grow on here and this one is beautiful. Gotta get that havannah sunrise.

My request was "my favorite candy is skittles. Could you paint some skittles and stuff on my face!" my first thought was that one time I got an odd request (Scooby-Doo being chased down by big green ghouls with superman on the cheek) and I had a big line up and minutes to do a design... So i thought 'go with what you know' and altered my rainbow design. Not as fancy as some but quick and easy!

did you buy your snaz rainbow cake from somewhere or make it yourself?? I had to make my own but if there's somewhere that sells them, I'll take 5!

Had to make my own! But agree with you fully! Someone Should make cakes for those of us who only use Snaz!

I love the skittles rainbow! And the snaz rainbow. I am going to have to make a new pastel one...... Mine bit the dust. I really like the cloud eye also.

@Jody-- Hey, ma'am, I was IN that class with you on Tribals, and I think you *should* send it. He'd get a kick out of it, and they obviously were pleased with your work and happy to see you get featured in Illusion. Don't underestimate your cute self!
And Pashur and Jay would both be tickled that even a Narwhal can be tribal.

Anyway,This challenge is so cute, everyone has been so creative! And Lala, your design is lovely. I don't think these were meant to be complicated but something we can do on the job when requested and I can totally see a child asking for that. I have an adult friend that is always telling people to taste the rainbow! LOL She just might get that design on her sometime.

Can I resubmit a better design than the one I already did?? This would replace my first one, I'm much happier with the outcome. Again, all done with Snaz light blue, Snaz black, a sponge, and a #4 round brush. The request was "all blue with black accents"

So, today my odd requests were A. a dragon fighting a vampire (we settled on a dragon fighting a vampire bat) and B. an adult man that wanted a merman to match his daughter's mermaid. Otherwise, the faces were the same, including the pink and purple eyes and glitter. It was hilarious.

Rockin design Perry looks like something to wear to a concert.
