Re: Post Submissions Here!
Challenge Softball and Tennis in team colors of purple and yellow. I used Gold for yellow, for it is just a metallic yellow.
Tools: sponge, round #4 and detail brush, probably a #0
Paints all DFX, purple, lavender, brown, black, white, gold, lime
I sponged on some Lavender and Purple, then used my #4 to draw the crossed tennis racket and softball. Made the 2 balls with Lime and white. Made swirls, eye liner and some dots with gold. Outlined the swirls with purple and my #4. The res was outlined with a #0 and black. I got real lucky and had a friend visiting from out of town to use for a model. She is so pretty.

Re: Post Submissions Here!
odd request: renaissance
I googled and found many images of paintings and my first idea was to paint an angel and some ornaments..but my real life painting isn't good, so I stuck with the ornaments. I tried a whole different thing here..I never did it this way..I loved how it turned out though!
this is the final picture
I used dfx white, black, oxidized bronze, superstar bronze, gold, burgundy, cherry, bright blue, leaf green and round brushes number 3, 5 and 6 and a sponge and dotterwand
step 1: sponge on bronze and burgundy on the eyes
step 2: add random ornaments in gold, bronze and oxidized bronze with a round brush number 6
step 3: add coloured drops to the ornaments with a round brush number 5
step 4: add white drops on the coloured drops with a round brush number 3
step 5: add black outlines and details with a round brush number 3 and white dots

HaaaHaaa! That is too funny!
I'm still trying to figure out how to do mine... I just don't have the forehead space needed for some designs...

[/img]
Metallic white script
[img][/img]
Light black outline
[img][/img]
Base of the flower
[img][/img]
The outline and detail of the flowers
[img][/img]
Swirls and dots
[img][/img]
Highlights and more swirls and dots
[img][/img]
Final touches and lips. (I used glitter all throughout)
[img][/img]
Final Picture
[img][/img]
Close ups and Detail
My favorite bible verse: Lamentations 3:22 "The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases, His mercies never come to an end." I didn't have room for the whole thing so only the first phrase is listed. This verse encourages me when I fail, it reminds me that God loved me before I was saved and continues to love even when I sin against him. I don't know what is better than that

Re: Post Submissions Here!
I'm going to be going to a tribals class next month, so I might even do a better job on it then, but I decided to give the tribal type thing a go rather than the typical swirly/tear drop type thing.
Re: Post Submissions Here!
