Re: Post Submissions Here!
this is mine...I really love her work!...
I sponged metallic green with blue on the edge of my sponge and pink with met. red on the edge of my sponge randomly....put on some glitter
outlined with dFX black in random design outlining the colours with curls and swurls and lines...
added white detail and drops and dots for highlighting...
detail all with a round brush number 5
didn't really use one specific design...just looked at her work and made this up...
it's something inthe line of this in het brochure... http://www.luciebrouillard.com/brochure/2006-04-01%20Brochure%20Lucie%20Brouillard.pdf
Re: Post Submissions Here!
Here is my entry. A mythical Yin and Yang design of sorts based on the natural elements.
Tools 1/2" flat #2 #3 #5 rounds and sponge
Paints DFX gold silver with mehron gold / silver powder mixed in, twighlight split cake, fire cake, white, blue and black
Sponge on gold then silver in the traditional ying yang. Use fire cakes to create dragon and flames over top of gold. Use twilight cake for water foul waves of water.
Outline with dfx black and blue. Add details to dragon in black and details to bird in white and blue. Line eyes in black.
The is the work done by Lucie Brouillard that inspired my design

Re: Post Submissions Here!
Here is another offering. This one was inspired by her random use or maybe I should say her intentionally random use of color with lots of swirls and curls.
Tools Sponge and #5 round
Colors DFX 12 color essential palette
Sponge on colors in random order, add linework in black with white highlights, then add white linework highlighting in black
and here are the photos of Lucie Brouillard's work that inspired these

Re: Post Submissions Here!
OK, just for fun:
I morphed 2 pics together & then sort of went with it w/ a bit of my own flare. I didn't have a lot of time & boy I hope this washes off before church tonight
Oops, missed the part about paint & tools:
1) Paint: Paradise white, orange, lime green, light blue & pink. DFX Black
2) tools: sponge, #4 round & round detail brush.

Re: Post Submissions Here!
Ok hoping this will help me get to go to Fabbulas!:
Me:
Lucie B inspiration:
Items Used: My own leaf cake, blues cake (dark, med, light), purple, yellow, Black, White, gitter. Small round broush (details & outlining), large round brush (dots, tear drops, etc...), sponge.
I started out with the middle of the forehead and nose area, then worked my way out fitting in her design to my face for an awesome mask to flatter her necklace.

Re: Post Submissions Here!
no where near as good as anyone elses lol, but its the taking part that counts eh!
based off this picture:
i used DFX White Teal Purple and Pink, (as it arrived this morning - Thanks Suzy!!!)
and Snaz Black
I just blended the colours over the eye, until I was happy with the colour, surrounded with black snaz, added the coloured deteails to the droplets at the top and the dots all around the edge to create a rainbow kind of effect. I then added feather like details keeping the colour scheme the same more or less. I just had fun with it, and enjoyed getting to know a new split cake
