Totally 80's Odd Request Challenge
Ok so... since it's Odd Requests, I wanted to make sure it was something quick and simple, but still effective, since we get REQUESTS at parties and fairs, we only have about 5 minutes to paint the design. This can be done in about 3.
My odd request was something "TOTALLY 80'S"
Ok, here we go!
Step one: Crank up some Boy George to get in the mood (heehee just kidding... only I am not kidding, I really did do that)
Apply Ben Nye Lumieres in Azalea, Cosmic Blue and Amethyst
Step 2: Blend lightly with Ben Nye Lumiere Silver, and line eyes with the purple from the Havana Sunset cake.
Step 3: Using a sponge and BAM stencil number 1039, stamp some stars on the cheek using the first three colors of the Havana Sunset cake. Add lightning bolt for fun. I did a single star on the opposite cheek too (not pictured)
Step 4: Paint lips with the hot pink from the Havana Sunset cake if desired
Step 5: Create a quick "fishnet glove" using black (I used TAG) and a #1 round or scriptliner
Step 6: Add Suzy's Sparkles in silver for a little bling.
Step 7: (The most important step)
ROCK OUT AS HARD AS YOU POSSIBLY CAN!!!!

Re: Post Submissions Here!
Thanks! It really "makes" the design, doesn't it?
I am thinking about adding this to my summer menu board!

My odd request -- A Unicorn battling a Dragon. (( LOVE this request!! Thanks Suzy! Got this imgage in my head right away))
I view challenges as something to do outside of what we might usually do at a gig. At a gig I would use the same premise of the design, but just do my usual unicorn and dragon profiles with lightning in between, but no background fantasy sky.
Hope you likey....loved doing this one.
I used round brushes 2 and 4....and my finger for smudging : )
DFX Black, White and Grey. TAG light green and green.

Loving all the requests so far, what a great challenge! Love the masks, glove, battle, everything!
Rae, please make one, if you feel like it, would love to see it!
I made another one myself, with a fish coming out of my mouth, turned out really cool!

Re: Post Submissions Here!
This challenge has been a hoot. I'm amazed by everyone, but Michelle makes me want to kick her for being so good! I love the Renaissance mask!
Picnic anyone?
My request was "I really like picnics can you do that on me". I started with Wolfe bronze and brown and did a few loops over my brows with a Royal majestic 1/2 angle double loaded.I also used Fab gold to blend it into my face. I then used wolf white for the blanket with a 1/2 Royal aqualon filbert. The red on the blanket and the watermelon is Fab rage. The watermelon was painted with a 1/2 flat for the red. The green with a #4 loew cornell. The red stripes and brown has marks were also done with that brush. I used a black Wolfe to do details and outline with a loew cornell 0 . Finally added white highlights with a #2 mark reid brush.
Re: Post Submissions Here!
