Re: Post Submissions Here!
Wow, I tried for 30 min. to do a slide show, I'll try again tomorrow. The supplies I used for my "Icey Dragon" were: #4 Mark Reid round brushes. 1 very small flat Snazaroo brush maybe 1/4 in wide, for blending. The paints are Snazaroo, light&dark blue, Snaz Sparkle white. Wolfe Black and Wolfe Metalic Blue. Also a bit of Tag white for detail. I used the same paint for my eye excaept I did add Shimmer powder, white and blue from Silly Farm, applied with a smoothie.
1. Make white background flames then add a little blue for detail.
2. Next, I outlined my dragon in Snaz white and filled him in with light blue.
3. I added detail to the dragon using different shades of blue, then some black lines for depth.
4. Touch up with white to add highlight.
5.Next I moved on to my eye, adding shimmer powder with a smoothie. Then outlining with black and touches of light blue and white.

Re: Post Submissions Here!
Thanks everyone. It looked a lot diff. in my head. Maybe I'll try again before the month is up. It is getting harder for me to paint myself, I thought my eyes were going to go crossed! I really want to learn those tribal dragons too, And I love the full face looks!
Re: Post Submissions Here!
Lol Shannon!
And Jody, love it! reminds me of Saphira, the dragon in Eragon.
Daizy! OH. EM. GEE. That is stunning! That's gonna be hard to top!
I'm working on a modification of my full face dragon so it has flames, but it's proving challenging and idk HOW I'm gonna paint that one on my face! As far as an eye design, that's proving even more challenging because the area between my eye and my hair line doesn't provide a lot of room for any kind of big detail work.

Re: Post Submissions Here!
I love that Movie Punky. I think I liked it mored than my kids. In the back of my mind that is probably why I went with blue. I know what you mean on the eye space thing. My design had so much more with it but I ran out of space and just went with it.
Re: Post Submissions Here!
sooo....here my entry
proved to be a little time consuming and as always way more difficult to paint your own face compared to drwaing something on a piece of paper...
but here we go...
I think you have to click on view all images...did work the last time like this..
step 1: sketch design in white (dFX)
step 2: fill in parts in Grimas metallic dark grey with sponge
step 3: put in all colours with sponge and brush (self created cakes from Superstar paint and flames with purple-red-pink-yellow-white artycake)
step 4: outline dragon with a round brush no 5 in black (dX)
step 5: further outlining using a round brush no 2 in black and some detail in white
step 6: highlight in white using the round brush no 2
and finished..
I'm not really excited about the colours I used...it's not really popping out..but hey..I spent about 2 hours on this friggin dragon..so be it!
one taken from one side..so you can see the wing..

Re: Post Submissions Here!
Wow Daisy, that looks awesome...your photos always make them look so amazing.
Michelle, I really like your, the colors are different...maybe a little more of the gold and it would have really popped, but I like it the way it is!
