Re: big problem with dragons.help please
please do!
I tried one this morning but it did'nt work out. Shouldn't think about it, just do it...
Just in case; you see the head is just a swirl? Wolfe Brothers showed it to me and I was flabbergasted with it!

Re: big problem with dragons.help please
Oh, thanks Maaike! I appreciate the swirl head tip! Have not had a wolfe bros class...had a pashur class, he quickly did dragons but his detailing is way beyond me right now! I think the other dragon face mask style is interesting - especially the version made with the pouncer...gotta try it too. But I personally like the whole body dragon. See my pic posted above with the ones on the boys arms? I liked the head but not sure about veination in the wings, any suggestions are welcome. TA!
Re: big problem with dragons.help please
Pixieface! Wow, your dragon mask rocks!!! It really looks complicated!! I cant imagine how long that will take me to do on a child's face. Any estimate on the time required? I am afraid to try!
May I use it as a sample to work from?

Re: big problem with dragons.help please
Thanks for the tip Maaike! Some amazing dragons on this thread. I'm a newbie to face painting and here is my dragon design.
Re: big problem with dragons.help please
Leslie, I like that dragon! I am gonna actually have to break out the paints and work on one myself. Love all the tips in this thread...what fantastic artists you all are! Keep those brushes goin'
Re: big problem with dragons.help please
I like all the dragons here.
Here is something that inspired me, also from the Wolfe workshop Maaike has been, just another day, so we didn't met. Pity
This one is painted by one of the Wolfe brothers in their workshop, first a picture of the examples on the 'head' and then what you can do with it.

Re: big problem with dragons.help please
Wow, very nice designs involving the swirls! Now I want to paint more! Thanks Jendzs for the nice remark about my dragon, I'm still trying out designs made for speed! These swirl designs definitely look fabulous and speedy!
Re: big problem with dragons.help please
Mandi, I'm glad I could inspire you with this picture. I like your spin of it.
Eva, I didn't paint it. I wish I could paint that way. One of the Wolfe brothers painted this great dragon face. And you know, the picture doesn't do it justice. It was so vivid and sparkling in real. Could not 'catch' that in the picture. They are real artists. And they kept saying: 'Just swirls, nothing more than the swirls you practiced'

my dragon....
[img][/img]this is my best dragon yet...trying to get in detail s but still not take tooo long.
Re: big problem with dragons.help please
Wow these dragon's are fabulous! So many differnt ways to approach it! I've been having trouble deciding if I want legs or no legs for my dragon. . .
I'm thinking a much shorter body next time with or without legs! I thought I would need to make it longer since it would have legs but I over shot a bit
I just noticed I have it's head facing the wrong way! LOL This was the first time I'd done it one the right side, and I painted it just like I had on the left. . .didn't even thing about it while I was doing it, but I did think the flames were going the wrong way somehow! (how sweet is my hubby to let me paint him)[img][/img]
