Lets paint dragons?
Since we're in the year of the dragon, why don't we get into painting some. I meant to paint this one for Chinese New Year, but didn't get the time. Been trying ever since, and finally got a chance today. Another 42oC day, so we all just hung out in the air conditioning this arvo. This is what I did. I also painted my eyelids for his eyes, but discovered I'm hopeless at doing that! lol
Love to see some more dragons on here!

Re: Lets paint dragons?
Wow! Love both of those.
My OLD, very OLD, Chinese dragon design is way more basic (and quick) and pretty popular too with the tweenie boys

Re: Lets paint dragons?
I don't have a dragon I'm willing to share (not out of stinginess, out of SHAME! :-) but I have a cute dragon story. I was at my first paying gig recently and there were 2 adorable 7 year old twin boys who were hovering the entire time I was painting the 15 girls. They kept insisting that they didn't want me to paint them but they couldn't look away. Finally at the end my husband asked me to paint a dragon on his arm and as soon as I was well under way the two boys were pushing each other to be next to get a dragon arm. Then they showed everyone and competed for which was better. (They were really both pretty embarrassing by my standards but they were delighted!!)

I was going to upload my dragons then chickened out. im blushing at my computer screen. lol mine are horrible now!! this will give me something to practice and work towards. thanks for the waves of inspiration and great works! oh my, gorgeous dragons! from cute to downright scary
Re: Lets paint dragons?
ok. i found one that didnt make me cringe! lol one of my first full faces, this was a neighbor boy lol i know i have some that i have tried to paint that I got inspired from other people here. Beautiful dragon masks for boys, green striped wings? and dragonlike eyes with horns, and the dragon painted on the hands, with the fire between the fingers, they are some of my favorites.
Re: Lets paint dragons?
This one is terrible but it's the first and the only one I have a pic of. It's from the Christina Davidson - Valentines Variations class on FABA. I closed it out and tried to copy it from memory. It needs so much, but the nose ridges that run OVER the horn just add a little something, don't cha think. lol (smh)
