I have a problem...

I ordered one of each of the Paradise colors and literally have only used the 2 paradise pallets I just bought once... 3 prismas and 3more starblends. Brushes....I also bought a bunch of other accessories... totaling $300.00 and it honestly scares me how easy it was to do.... I need to get more gigs asap to make up for my temporary insanity...

There needs to be local FPA ( Face Painter Anonymous) meeting.

LoL, I havent been paid to date, yet I have spent $1000+. My husband says, its ok cause when I do start to get paid it will flood in!! And I figure theres a lot worse things you can spend it on, just ask Charlie Sheen!!!

I agree, it is really easy to spend money in face paint that you don't need, my first excuse was because I needed to find the right brand for me, now it is because I need every neon color, or I need every metallic color, every split cake... that its not true, I do admire those artist that can control themselves and can do an amazing work just with a kit that fits in a small backpack.

I want a hubby like that!!! Mine is more like, "what you make is what you can spend... "So that's what I do... as a stay@home mom I don't have much choises
And I have to say, untill now it works... Also makes me spend less, to be honnest, but I have a lot of stuff already... And I try all kinds of ways to get a gig...

Well hope you will start making money soon too, then you can even buy more things you 'need' hahahaa

To be said as though we are already attending a FPA (Face Painters Anonymous) meeting: Hi Sara!!!!

My husband would not have a clue.... ...But i have been into crafts ...sewing etc all my life. I have just found out 10 years ago i could paint...at the age of 50...what the??? is that about??? anyway..i know ME...shh or women!...we need it ALL...it was patterns...material.... i still do and teach crafts ..like gallery glass, iris folding, painting etc...so believe me i have it ALL...at least in MOSTLY one room and in containers...but....I love face painting now...and have that alll in my fat max ..at least so far...but it makes it SO easy to shop by internet....way tooo easy!... ...

And not only that ...I like things to look really good...or at least i like doing the deed...everything matching...etc etc etc...so here are the 2 projects i have been working on the last couple weeks...the awning tent was a freeby...a dr pepper tent...now it has roses!



Next I am going to paint on a black or white shirt with roses and use bling for the nana monna part!....

I too am a FP product addict but am on a diet. A FP diet! I am not allowing myself to buy anything new till the beginning of November(unless I need it desperatly). I need to use up some of what I have to justify getting more. There are soooooo many things I want. So, so many.

oh i totally agree!....I put myself on a diet tooo....thing is ....a few times when i do go off the diet to order ...i can be a monster... ...

but i have to do that too...be firm with myself...i do pretty good most of the time...then like in crafts...i go to a craft store...(which thank goodness is at least 40 minutes from me)....i see a sale..whoo hoo...what a day.. i notice in face painting store...(on line)...they DO NOT have great sales...so I can usuallly behave myself...and get what i need....and only get tempted on things...i haven't ever tried and WANT....

LMAO! I just said to my hubby this morning "hey, I'm taking the baby and going to Hobby Lobby to get some brushes. See you tomorrow!". Hahahaha! Yes, I too have a problem. And could easily spend ALL day at HL. Or Micheals. Or on the computer at FPF Shop. Oh wait, I HAVE done that last one.

I think all face painters have the "spending" problem, it just comes with the territory...

It's just so easy to spend it when you know you will make the money back. I try to limit it to $150 a month, but if I'm working every weekend, I feel I can spend more LOL
