Re: Pouncer Inspired
Hey all thanks so much for the lovely comments on my pouncer inspired xmas designs, they rocked at a christmas tree light up event I did last week so quick. I was able to really pump through the line. YAY. I'll be using them again this weekend I have four really large bookings.

Re: Pouncer Inspired
Wow how did I miss this thread?? They sell these at my local newsagency alongside the dodgy $2 face paint so I passed right over them thinking they were junk too.. I'm in love with the bubble designs and amazed by the xmas ones!!! I promised myself no new equipment till after the next gig but maybe I'll just skip my coffee and get pouncers instead... amazing!
Re: Pouncer Inspired
Aussie's - Crazy Clarks, Sam's Warehouse and places like that have them - $2 for 3 of different sizes. I got a bigger one from Bunnings for $2.
Where were you guys when I had it in the belly contest?
Ummm....there was a contest and THAT *didn't* win??? Seriously? I think this is so technically perfect and culturally relevant that I can't even imagine what could have topped that! I'm just loving loving loving this! Your whale is p-e-r-f-e-c-t!
(having a wanna be you when my facepaints grow up moment)
I have 2 pouncers and all I have managed to do with the first one I tried was have a problem figuring out how big the result would have been. So my 'Xmas Fairy' has a huge holly berry with two baby berries. Turned out ok, but it's a learning curve!! This is a great thread for inspiration for those pouncers!

Thanks Kim I actually came in 4th... http://www.facepaintforum.com/t3082-vote-for-our-winner
There were lots of great designs The winner was super cute with painting the baby hands on the mamma's fingers so it looked like he was coming out of her tummy. Super creative!

Re: Pouncer Inspired
I love the snowman. I did a pouncer snowman on my cheek for the event I was at last Saturday and that was the most requested design of the day. It seems like girls always want what I paint on myself. I guess I should paint something more detailed or bigger then but I can't because I can't see without my glasses and they cover up the eye area pretty much. I love the whole face design you did with your snowman though. Mine was just one snowman.

Re: Pouncer Inspired
I have been following this thread, but haven't really contributed yet so as I sat down to come up with something, I decided to challenge myself to a full face design using nothing but pouncers meaning I would have to set my beloved brushes aside. I ended up using three different sized pouncers, a peacock split and a white and black split and here is the result.
