Post by Party Picassos Mon Nov 22, 2010 8:59 pm

I did a three day fest and had 2 boards of samples; boys and girls.
I posted the prices and put a colored circle label as a key for the cost of
each design. Then I put the different colored circles on each of the picture
samples.

When some parents asked their little girl (maybe 2) what she wanted,
she kept pointing to a yellow circle label. "Do you want this picture?"
asked her dad. "No," and she pointed to the circle again.

I sat her down and made a mask made up of yellow circles with my circle
"pouncer." She was so happy pointing to all the yellow dots on her face!

Party Picassos, your story reminds me of the time I had a little girl in the chair and when I asked her what she wanted, she just pointed and said, "red." I guess it didn't matter what I gave her as long as it was red. I think I painted a heart on her cheek and she was happy. I love kids.

I used the 'pouncer' for the bubbles on this belly. It was awesome. I double loaded and then twisted as I laid it down. I wanted them to be really clean circles.

It's a yin yang of whales to showcase the BC culture living in harmony. The northwest coast first nations style is really unique.
