Re: Post Submissions Here!
Tash we love your head no matter what size it is....lol
I love your slasher butterfly very cool. I purposely don't do the really horror looking gore because I like to keep my designs it family friendly, but that is just enough to be creepy for an older boy or girl without it being over the top. So I am gonna definitely try that one.

Was able to retrieve photos
Ok I found my camera cord and was able to retrieve the SBS pics from the internal memory. Pretty mush tore my bedroom up looking for it....lol but at least I don't have to repaint it.
Here's my halloweeny one. A Bat-terfly
I didn't realize until I got to the final pic that the memory card was not in the camera (still in my laptop from the last entry). So I will have to go in search of my cord to get the SBS pics off the internal memory or just redo it later tonight.
Paints used
DFX gold old gold black brown and white
Tools
sponge
#3 and #5 rounds
Step 1 sponge on wings base in a mix of brown met old gold and petina and gold
Step 2 Add body layering in same colors
Step 3 Add outline to wings and body in black
Step 4 Add fur to the body and add the talons eyes and fangs
Final look

Re: Post Submissions Here!
Halloween Spider Web Butterfly
All DFX used
1. Base – green with ½” flat brush( first time I did this instead of sponging, I like it!)
2. Apply spider webs with purple using #4 round
3. Paint spider in black with #4 round
4. Paint spider legs in black with #2 round
5. Paint hour glass sign on back of widow with #1 round.
6. Highlight with white, used #2 round on web and #1 round on spider body.
Now, Syd had moved while I was working on the spider so it is much bigger than I had planned it to be. Next time, I will try and draw the red mark on the spider first then fill in the black. I had put red glitter on this one to try and make it stand out.

Here is my pinwheel spiderfly.......it's really easy peasy to do. Split cake does most of the work.
Paints used:
DFX white black and "twilgiht" split cake
Tools used:
sponge #3 and #5 rounds
Step 1 general outline in shape of pinwheel in black then spong on split cake in same direction
Step 2 Add spider web lines
Step 3 Connect webbing
Step 4 Add spider body
Step 5 Add highlights in white and met blue
Final result (decided to sponge split cake on lips at the last moment)

Dia de los Muertos Sugar Skull Butterfly
Step 1: Using DFX white, make the outline of the butterfly
Step 2: Fill in with DFX white and black
Step 3: Using a small round brush and DFX black, paint a spiderweb on the forehead between the wings. Then, using a dry brush, pull the color down to create shading
Step 4: Using DFX red, paint a heart below the web. Then, using DFX red and metallic green, draw loops around the eyes
Step 5: Using DFX black and Paradise light purple, fill in the wings with swirls and designs
Step 6: Using DFX black and red, add a small heart and swirls on the corners of the eyes
Step 7: Using DFX black and a small round brush, add teeth lines to the mouth
All done!

Re: Post Submissions Here!
WOW, I came in here to see what you were all up to, and this has just blown me away! So many fabulous designs! Ive got the creativity to do something, just dont have the model or the patience to do it on myself. I dont have the skills anywhere NEAR you ladies though!
Re: Post Submissions Here!
My skills aren't as good as a lot of ladies on here either...lol I just like trying and if nothing else picking up new ideas.

that is the main purpose of the challenges inspiration and honing skills!
Re: Post Submissions Here!
I've watched a lot of the people on here who's skills have gotten better & better each challenge! So, bring it on & post your ideas!
Re: Post Submissions Here!
It doesn't matter if you think you are not as good - the key is to challenge YOURSELF. I just posted my first entry ever - and I knew I wouldn't win, but it was a great challenge for myself, more fun than I imagined, my daughter got involved, and now I have something ON RECORD that I want to try to improve every time
You will be surprised at how proud you will be of your design...even if you just *know* you won't win

Re: Post Submissions Here!
I hope I'm doing this right. This is my first entry I know its super simple but I was messing around trying to think of quick fast Halloween butterflies for a party I'm doing Saturday.

To make it show a picture:
just add the tags [img] at the beginning, and [/**img] at the end, (minus the *'s)
so
[img]https://i.servimg.com/u/f22/15/72/58/57/ghost-12.jpg[/**img] without the *'s will give you the picture
