1: load brush (I used a blusher brush) with Arty Brush - Go Green & highlight the eye & above.
2: Go around the outer edges with black & do some tear drops at the side of the eye I used a #4 round & Snaz black.
3: Do long teardrops with pearl blue from Go Green mixed with white from the top of the design with a #4 round.
4: Highlight with white add dots & star bursts I used Wolfe white. I used a #4 round for the tear drops & #1 liner brush for the star bursts.

Re: Post Submissions Here!
Lovely! I was thinking about a design with a bird, but this one is nicer then then the one I had so far
I like how you used the branch around the eye, and also the other stuff.

Anita that is so pretty what a lovely idea.
Oh Michelle, Bec is so lovely I feel so lucky to have been able to go to a workshop of hers.
Aren't you going to FABIAC? If so ditto to you, I wish I wasn't so far away. What an opportunity that would be!!!!

Re: Post Submissions Here!
Ok, here is mine
Mermaid tail inspired eye design:
1. Use a nice metallic of choice to give the upper eyelid color, I used superstar blue for this one. Make a line that follows the line of the nose and one that comes out of the corner of the eye.
2. Choose another color to make the eyelid look more bright and let them flow into each other a bit (the two colors) I used DFX light green here.
3. Add a tirth color to make the eye look even more bright, this color goes on the lowest part of the eyelid and no where else. I used Superstar metallic pink mixed with Neon Pink by DFX. On top, you make dots or small stripes with a more light color then you just used by pressing down the brush lightly. I used Superstar yellow.
4. Create one big teardrop going down using the first color again.
5. Create two more big teardrop looking stripes on each side, both a little longer then the first one. Make a swirly line that connects them. Try to let the lower one follow the line of the chin and the upper one could fit the line that comes out of the corner of the eye. Its not neccicary, but it gives a balance.
6. I added this pen drawing of my version of a mermaid tail, to make where we go more clear.
7. fill in everything with the first color, then use the second color that you used on the eye, to create a light effect. Use the pendrawing to be able to see where light should be if its needed.
8. Trace everything with white
9. Add spome dots if you like, and I made the ckeek a bit more pink with Superstar metallic pink. Sparkles are nice also. I did not add them because you dont see them on the picture anyway.
Here is the end result a bit more clear:
Edit: lol, why is my avatar up here instead of on the normal place?

Re: Post Submissions Here!
i did the design 1st then had to go back and do a step by step on the other eye lol.
ok i used TAG yellow, gold, black and white and dfx green and some gold glitter to top it off.
Re: Post Submissions Here!
Beautiful entries so far - keep them coming .
One question though: do you leave the other eye with nothing on, or do you do a little bit on that eye too? Does anyone have pictures with one-eye design where you can see both eyes? Maybe I should ask this in an other thread...

Re: Post Submissions Here!
Colours:
Metallic White Eulenspiegel, Lilac DFX, Metallic Purple Eulenspiegel, Black and White DFX.
First put on the metallic white and lilac with a smooty.
Then make the outside line with metallic purple and fade in.
Make the pearle in the same way as above.
Paint the black thing on your own way.
Make small pearls at the ends.
Put white dots on the edge of the eye and on the little pearls.

Yay! I think it worked! ....... dammit I don't think it's playing in order..... how did I manage that?
oh well here's the finished picture.
My first step by step..... yay for me!
What a disaster! Friggin computers *sigh*
I'll try and repost - or fix this post or whatever - tomorrow. I'm way too tired for this.... my brain went to sleep an hour ago.
