Re: Newbie Challenge # 5 & 6
Ohhh - Daphne, I love that! As I moved the page down and realised the tail comes out between your collarbones, I just GRINNED - that's so cool!
I haven't done mine yet. Don't want to do it on myself, and neither of the boys have let me dragon-ify them up to now. Bah humbug.

Re: Newbie Challenge # 5 & 6
Kammy...don't know how to do "quotes", but wanted to reply to your comment that you thought my dragons were way better than what you could do. Those were my 1st "original" tries. I've posted how I look @ things EVERYWHERE for inspiration. I encourage you to believe in the art of PRACTICE!!!!! I hadn't painted since high school, haven't had any formal training & learned most of my FP'ing from the Forum & various YouTube Videos. What I did do was listen to Lisa Joy Young re: painting on herself every night. I did that for months. If you could only see what I did when I 1st tried...yuck. Those dragons were done on a flexible cutting board but nothing feels like skin. Put on shorts & paint your legs, arms & using a mirror, your face. (so hard for me...BLIND w/o glasses!) Give yourself credit. you're a good FP'er & will only improve w/time, practice & doing more & more people @ events. One final thing: Christina Davison has a valuble bit of advice on one of those free, short, promo videos for FABATV. She said for a long time, she just imitated designs she saw until she met Marl Reid. He encouraged her to give things her own twist & eventually try to create her own designs. When I met her @ FABAIC last May, I told her how grateful I was for the advice. It felt, to me, like jumping off a cliff, but so worth it!!! I DARE you to try it. This is what this thread is all about. Thanks again Amylady!

Re: Newbie Challenge # 5 & 6
Thanks for all the great pictures!
Here's my second and third tries at unicorns
and various critters inspired by Extreme FP. I really need to practice more...
and lastly... this one looks pretty cool in person but needs more detail.
