Please everyone read (regarding the glitter gel drama)

I have to say that I am VERY upset... It really has gone from anger to tears at this point.

I made a new brand of glitter gel (as I am sure most of you know)
I made a youtube video showing it and the differences between sizes, etc...

I then was asked on the youtube channel about what the ingredients were. The person who asked this question has in the past 'stolen' our one stroke combos and marked them "exclusive" on her website.... Naturally my first thought was that she was trying to steal yet another one of our ideas. FINALLY I posted the ingredients... and I then blocked her from our youtube channel and I felt and still feel that she is just posting for malicious reasons. Obviously you can all see that CLEARLY I was wrong since she went on EVERY group on facebook slamming me. ::eyeroll::

First she says that I use craft glitter....

I just think this whole thing is a huge mess and I am totally disgusted by her behavior....

Oh, did I mention this chick is BFF's with my "competition" in my area??? Oh... right...

That's terrible! I'm sure we all on here know that you would never do something negligent as to use craft glitter. It's really sad that people have to resorte to such dispicable tactics just to get ahead of whom (I'm sure we all would agree) is the better and bigger person in this situation. Sometimes it seems there is no honor amongst professionals.

I'm sorry to hear that, I guess there will always be people willing to sling mud at others to try and make themselves look better. Just plainly state they are mistaken and you only use cosmetic glitter. All you can do is stay professional and let them look the fool.

I'm sorry she got under your skin. And I'm sorry that she put you on the defensive. I never doubted the safety of the ingredients, and I'm sorry that she made you feel like you had to prove them.

On another note, I think you have a great product with juicy colours in pretty cool bottles. I was salivating over them just today on my break at work in fact.
I have successfully made my own silver and gold glitter gels but also worry over the metal tip. I love that your lids screw into the bottle, so there is no explosion if you squeeze too hard.
They are in my future for sure.

Yeah, that is why I chose to post a blanket statement on here explaining things... Rather than getting into the long drawn out fights on facebook. I guess everyone can just think what they want but since I got a few private messages about it and facebook emails... I thought I would just post to everyone in one spot.

On a side, note... where might this glitter of yours be so that I may also salivate over it? I'm in the market for some new glitter, and I like to look at all my options.

Yes. I saw all that too. I am sorry that she did that to you, but, it was pretty obvious who was doing what. She fired the first shot, with no reason to do so, and her freind went on and blasted her for her responsiblity in the whole thing, which, is the lion's share for sure.

I am going to post later taht I have have a whole bunch of your glitter...you sold it to me, I love it, it is all cosmetic, and I would buy from you any day. I would not, however, buy from someone who made a public "to do" of something that should be a private dust up. Sad, she might have had good products I may have wanted; hope I can always find them at the forum!

This is all just so sad.

It is like I told Suzy last night on the phone. We all HAVE to be above all of these spats. When people start these dramas, they think they are helping themselves, but are really just helping their competitors. The big guns in this industry know better and they just sit back licking their lips in glee knowing that us little guys will just fight our way right out of business.

After all this started yesterday, I kept tracking the links on the shop to the glitter gel and the views on youtube and they were threw the roof!

It is very clear who is doing what to whom, so I am not even going to bother. If the guilty party wants to continue to rant on youtube and Face Book, we will gladly take the publicity.

hmmm...isn't what she's doing considered slander? If I were you I would send her a nice little email including the definitions of "slander,""defamation," and "libel" - all of which could have legal implications if you chose to pursue that route.

I wanna buy some glitter gel now! Not like I would not have done that anyway, but it takes me a while sometimes...now I will buy more, sooner!

Nail on the head, Suzy. You probably have grounds for a civil suit although if I were you I might add to the above email or post that a public retraction and apology are in order.

Linda, remember that anger isn't a sin (don't know how we got to the notion that being Christian means we have to be doormats) even Christ took the time to braid a lash so He could clean out the temple with some good old righteous anger.

Love the videos you made for them! I really like the lids too. Can you tell me how tall they are with their lids on? I wonder if they'll fit in a specific compartment of my FatMax.

I actually joined your forum this morning after reading a comment at a Facebook forum. Thankfully, many people form their own opinions by taking the initiative to research the truth for themselves and do not rely on the opinions of others. I am sorry you had to go through this experience.

On another note, that post and the reply comments helped me find an awesome forum. I love how you have categorized your topics here and I am excited to learn more about face and body painting from this group!
