Posts keep updating to 'been read' and I haven't read them

I keep having a problem where there will be lots of new posts and after having read a few of them, when I click to go read another group it's updated to appear like I've read them all! Then I don't know which are new posts anymore!!

Grrrr....anyone having this problem?

Hmmm, I've not had that problem. I always click the "view posts since last visit" link on the home page, and then immediately open all of the new posts in separate tabs so they will be ready when I want to read them.

hehe, that'd work if I'd not missed a week's worth of posts...there were LOTS of new posts and I was trying to read them all and then poof...after reading about 3, the others were gone (yellow flower missing). Marked Read.

I will try that method and see if it will still hold them for me at least on one page.

Yeah, try that... at least then you'd have that original page and could tell which ones had not been read yet. I feel your pain! Back during the holidays I noticed that I wasn't getting any email alerts for the forum, and when I checked each time nothing would come up "new". I got busy and didn't think much else about it except a sadness that the forum seemed to be dying. Then one day I was checking the site again and noticed that I was SIGNED OUT (I never check since it always "remembers" me) and that's why nothing was coming up as new. There had been TONS of topics going on all through the holidays that I was oblivious of! I couldn't believe it. LOL

I happens to me which really cheeses me off since I try to read all and respond to make sure of no "trolls". Yeah Angie I caught the one this morning, delete it and him.

Yep, happened to me too. Just thought it was me clicking on something else. Thanks for the suggestion, Angie!

I guess it is because there is a timer on a cookie added by the homepage. So after x minuttes, it makes them all "read". I had the same problem.
