Re: Post Submissions Here!
Ok, I'll go first =).
Here is my Monster attempt #2. Sorry for the fuzzy UV pics.. it's really hard to get these to come out right. Model and photographer have to be very STILL for them to not come out fuzzy.. if anyone knows of an easier way to take them, let me know!!
Materials:
Wolfe white, black, NEON: pink, yellow, orange, purple
TAG NEON: blue, green
brushes
1:Lay down the neon purple base for the bottom of the mask.
2:Blend in the neon pink. Paint the lips with the neon pink (or be shot by your five-year old). Add the neon blue forehead.
3:Blend in the neon green, then add the yellow over the eyes. Blend into the pink.
4:Add the black outlines to the forehead, eyes and bottom of the mask. Add black teardrops to the forehead, and neon orange teardrops below the eyes.
5:Add the finishing highlights to the teardrops with white, outline the orange teardrops and the lips with black. Add neon blue and white dots to the lips.

Re: Post Submissions Here!
I guess I don't understand? Does this thread replace the earlier thread for blacklight/neon/uv/ step-by-step contest that ends on Jan 24, 2011?
If it does, Metina got my new neon's out so fast today! that I thought I could enter something in the contest. The contest thread had a really bad name/title and a lot of response about WHERE TO BUY A BLACK LIGHT, so I just didn't know or understand ....is this the same thing?? BTW, what is the prize of the blacklight contest?

Re: Post Submissions Here!
yes this is where you post your submission into the UV contest.. the other post you are referring to is where she tells you the rules and the prize etc.
Re: Post Submissions Here!
Great job. It looks like it looked great in regular light and in black light.

Re: Post Submissions Here!
Wow.. it is so neat to see how @jumpers4you's design takes on a whole new look under black light!!! I am sure that that design takes a while- but phew! It sure does look amazing afterward!!!
(I wish I knew a kid who would sit still that long, my husband can't even do that!! lol)

Re: Post Submissions Here!
I have an idea. Now I just need to find the black light and wait for it to get dark =)
Really liked the first entry!

Re: Post Submissions Here!
Here's an entry similar to what I wore as a sugar skull at Halloween. I really wanted it to look very different under normal light and under black light. The hardest to work with is the neon white, in order to have coverage in normal light it needs to be layered over another good white - I used paradise. I changed the face shape with the layers of dfx neon white. I also used dfx regular black and leftovers reshaped from a sillyfarm neon rainbow cake made from kryolan colours.
Re: Post Submissions Here!
chicneek that looks awesome! Very clever indeed, you are one smart cookie.
