Re: Still more stolen photos
Ok ...great. I'm good then. I'm too new for anyone to lift my pics......so no worries there!
Re: Still more stolen photos
That is right!!, there is this very talented people who are so nice to post tutorials and they share proudly THEIR work, to inspire us and give us more ideas, but that's it!! That doesn't gives you the right to actually take the original picture work and post it like yours!!, I am with Lisa, I search for tutorials, and new ideas, but I painted on my child, my husband, my friends, my self, and often if I can change something I do it, I just thank all those incredible artist who gives us ideas when they SHARE their work, but there is respect and limits.
Re: Still more stolen photos
The only time I ever posted another artist's work on my display board was Carmen Chase's Gospel Face Painting designs when I use them at Christian events. And THAT is only because my kids refuse to allow me to paint them as a monster, pirate, etc. I am gradually replacing her original images with ones that I have painted, but when I was just getting started, I needed a bigger way then the flip charts I bought to allow 3-5 year olds to choose from those Gospel Designs. I did leave the "Copyright Carmen Chase" on the photos so that everyone could SEE those photos were her work - not mine. I never posted those images in FB or my website and claim they are mine as a marketing tool. I only post what I have painted myself for that!
Oh, and just to be clear, I BOUGHT Carmen's gospel system from Razzbdazzle (training DVD's flip charts and marketing materials). I didn't steal her photos from anywhere. I just realized that wasn't obvious!

Yikes! I guess there are crooked people everywhere...it's hard to believe in FP world though, everyone seems so genuinely loyal and willing to help each other. I'm sorry to hear there are folks willing to take advantage.
Thanks to all of you awesome artists who are so willing to share designs and post tutorials to inspire the newbies like me! I haven't found any other face painters in my town, and I've learned everything I know from stuff you've freely shared online- but don't worry, not re-posting any pics!

Lizzie,
don't know... maybe it is blocked in your country for some reason. I use Internet Explorer mostly.
Another service that I used until Google came out with this was "TinEye" http://www.tineye.com/ which is really good, too and sometimes finds things Google doesn't but has a smaller database.

Re: Still more stolen photos
Image theft has gotten much easier with the invention of the iPad. You can basically select any photo on the web and download it to your iPad and then edit it with whatever editing software you have. Isn't that nice.
Re: Still more stolen photos
I searched a few of mine and found one stolen image on a website in Poland of all places.
Not everyone in the face paint world is all peace, love and helpfullness. I have met a few stinkers in the few years I have been doing this. Even took a class a few years back that I now realize was teaching someone else's designs. Don't know if that is a true no-no in this world, but I just realized it and feel a bit conflicted on it, disappointed.
