Re: Post Submissions Here!
Wow, those submissions are so amazing. Daizy - I love how your designs are so minimalistic and simple, yet so striking at the same time. I'm in love with those colors.
Rae, I LOVE your colors as well!

But i miss the dolphin eyes.
Thanks Anita. Ugghh, I know! That was the first thing my hubby said when I showed him the photos "where's the eyes?" Oh well, too late by then.
Thanks Mandi - it's one of those ones I keep thinking about since I did it though, you know, should have done this or that. Might have to have another go at it one day I think.
Thanks Dragonfly.
Re: Post Submissions Here!
Let me tell you.
I suck at making videos.
MY APPOLOGIES!!!
What I used
TAG Pearl Blue
TAG Pearl Sky Blue
Wolfe Metallic White
TAG Pearl Yellow
TAG Pearl Red
Wolfe Metallic Orange
Kryolan Mozart Pink
Paradise Black
Paradise White
1/2 Brush
6 Round
To make a sunset first color the half circle for the sun in yellow and then at the horizon start with a red and then blend into orange and then pink at the top. Pull the yellow out into the surrounding colors to make it glow
Put in your dolphin sillloute (I used a black and white split cake)
For the water put a dark base down (I used pearl blue). Then put an even darker color (i used black) for the waves. Now use a lighter version of the base (Sky blue) to take away some of the harshness of the waves.
Add some yellow on the water for the suns reflection and some white under the dolphin's tail for a splash and you are good to go!
TADA!

Re: Post Submissions Here!
Shandi I love your tribal dolphin's. That would be great for both boys and girls or even easily turning it into a shark for a boy.

Shandi, great minds think alike they say. I have been conjuring up tribal dolphin ideas all day, trying to get a boys/mans dolphin face paint. Don't worry it's different from your idea, which I love by the way!
Re: Post Submissions Here!
Materials used:
Tag one stroke Ocean
Dfx Grey
Wolfe black
Wolfe White
blue glitter
3/4 flat brush
#4 round brush
#8 round brush (i think, its rather large)
Step 1
using your flat brush and the tag split, create waves on the eyes and towards the forehead. Takes 2-3 swipes each side:
Step 2
Again using the same brush and split, create squigles under the eyes connecting the waves to the nose/eye area:
Step 3
Using your large round brush and wolfe white, make overlapping dots all along the top of the waves
Step 4
Create the dolphin over the nose area by using the smaller round brush & grey. Add white for the underbelly and eye area
Step 5
Using the black and a small round, outline the dolphin and make the eye
Step 6
Using a round brush and white, make tear drops in between the dolphin and waves to create a "splash". Also add dots in the inner eye, corner of the eye and anywhere else you feel needs some dots.
Step 7
Add blue glitter on the waves only! Also i erased the flukes to make it a side view of the flukes (tail) in case you like it that way better:
Thanks guys sorry for the big pics....i know i make my dolphins better. i hate painting myself but its the only face i had to make this "mask"
Hope you liked it!

Re: Post Submissions Here!

That design looks so beautifull on you!! Definately your colours!

Re: Post Submissions Here!
Yeah seriously, Mandi, your skin is gorgeous! I smoked for 15 years, so I know mine is rough, but I quit yay! You dolphin face is super duper cool too!
Re: Post Submissions Here!
hmmm I"m thinking it's not Mandi....... hahahaha
seeing as she has brown eyes in her avatar and blue in the step by steps....
STILL Mandie even in your avatar you look like 16 yrs old.
Must be something in that Tassie water.... cleanest in the world!

Re: Post Submissions Here!
What if it isn't mandi in the avatar?? Which one is you Mandi? The Avatar does look 16 haha.
Re: Post Submissions Here!
ok here we go! be gentle...this is only my second time lol
Materials: Tag Dolphin cake, snaz sparkle white, tulip black, snaz matte white, 3/4" princeton flat wash, and a 3/0 princeton round and a sponge. Q-tip for optional lip portion.
Step 1) Load your 3/4" flat with the white, light blue and dark blue of your dolphin cake. Paint an arch over the eyes with the dark blue on top. I like to start in the middle of the forehead and swoop over each eyebrow individually then connect them after.
Step 2) Sponge the sparkle white over the eyes up to your arch
Step 3) Using the 3/0 I went in and made a series of dolphins with the black. I just made tear drops for their bodies, laid the brush down for their tail flipper bits and then flicked in their noses, and dorsal and side fins.
Step 4) Still using the 3/0 and the black, outline the top of the mask, and tear drops and any other decorations you'd like.
Step 5) Using the white and the 3/0 go in and add highlights, dots, starbursts...anything you'd like to finish it off. You can also go in with the dark blue from the dolphin cake on a q-tip and paint the lips.
And Ta-Da...

I love you guys you make me laugh, hmmmm me think's your right Tash it's not me in the dolphin SBS. It's my gorgeous friend Colleen I'll pass on your lovely comments to her. I do have a mountain spring fed well, so our water is the purist.

I'm still giggling. The avatar pic is me, the pic was taken last year when I was 41yrs. I think the trick was 1: I was face painted in the pic & 2: the lighting in my bathroom was glowing that day. Thanks for your kind comments.

Re: Post Submissions Here!
Thanks Mandi I'm not entirely pleased with it though. I was super happy at step 3 then at step 4 i realized i stink at figuring out placement for whirly swirly goodness lol i'd love to see how someone would make it better...like doing something about that big empty space on her forehead
Re: Post Submissions Here!
Hey Mizz, I just went back & had a look at your design again. Just a thought, instead of having your tear drops over on the side of the design at the top, you could try putting them in the centre & perhaps put about 5 to create like a tiara/crown effect. Do you get what I mean?
Re: Post Submissions Here!
Yup I get it that was actually my first thought but then I second guessed myself lol from now on I shall go with my gut. Thank you Mandi!
