Looks good. The only thing I'd change is the part where the "eyebrows" join the forehead. Here's one I did to show what I mean(mind that I was testing out starblends & I'm not crazy about the contrast between the starblend black & the linework)

Your Iron Man is great, but I don't think you need to add the small detailed lines by the sides of the mouth.
Tilt the eyes more at an angle.
Lastly, if you're good with fine line work, then yes, outline with a very fine line.

This is what I think of when I think Iron Man.

My turn! I was trying out a shark face for the first time and *thought* I did pretty good. I sent the pic to my hubby and he said it looked more like a sardine with teeth, LOL! lol! Honey thinks he's funny! He said that the head needs to be bigger and it needs to look more mean & muscular! WHAT?! I do need to bring the head up so you can see the teeth under there and that would make the head look a little bigger. (I think?!) BUT, he's asking way to much out of this gal, lol! Anyway, would love ya'll 2 cents, even if you agree with the crazy guy with no paint brush, hehehe!

That shark is great, the only thing I would do is make the top of the head a little taller so you can fit in teeth where they can be seen. Then tell your hubby to be quiet!

Constructive Feedback!!! - Page 10 Dcp_1910

It just looks so blah. The idea is there but the execution is lacking. I've never tried doing a full face that I hadn't seen a picture of first until now and it's just depressing lol I had this wonderful image in my mind but it came out like something stuck to my shoe. Any thoughts would be much appreciated!

I like it. It passes the "What is it" test.

To help improve it, Make the triangle eyes bigger. They are sort of lost on the eye lids.
Some shading on the ridges will help give it depth. Think of where your light source is & where it will cast a shadow, and that's where you shade the ridges. Also, have some reflective lighter parts where the light source is hitting the ridges(is this making any sense?).
This is more of a cheekart size, but shows the shading.

I would make the eyes and mouth black...they would stick out more and indeed bigger eyes...otherwise I really like it!

thanks! I was originally going to make the eyes and mouth black but then I decided to try that whole thing with the candle showing through my nose lol def going to try going black next time.

I'm going to try making the eyes bigger. I was timid at first because I was afraid the proportions would be crazy...then I remembered it washes off haha

the shading and reflective part totally makes sense. i'm the first to admit that i have a hard time figuring out what to shade and where to highlight. It's so much clearer after actually seeing it.
Thanks so much!

I like to imagine a light bulb shining from above & to the right or left & think where the light will strike & where the shadows will be.

I think it looks great!
I still don't know how to not make my pics sooo big:-)
They only thing that helps make tigers look better is a black lines around the eyes(cat eyes), but I never do it because I just don't like putting black on the eyes of little ones.

I love it, if I had to force myself to critique I'd say have the lighter color in the base fade out to the darker color (yellow to orange) from the center outwards, but that's just personal preference I suppose. Great job though, very clean looking design. :]

I wonder if the black around the eyes would do it for me - it feels like it's missing something around the eye area?

will try fading it out to orange too - right now the orange is in specific spots but it looks almost all melded together, blending it out might make the difference in colours more obvious.

Nice work really SEZnz.

Perhaps a black line from the outer corner of the eye flicking upwards? Maybe some white dots randomly in some of the black stripes?

Looks good. I'd say a little tweek would be that the markings on the cheeks should all point to a center focal point and be less parallel.
