Re: Constructive Feedback!!!
Silly,
your tiger markings need a little work. like psalmbook said, light...heavy...light. and Yes your nose is to thin, needs to be bigger. Make the lines in the muzzle darker.
I like the single eye design, maybe add some dots and starbursts to give it more of a wow effect.

Re: Constructive Feedback!!!
I love the 1 eye design. There's not much to change there.
Work on your dots on the tiger. There are too many. Pick a few places to focus on placing them & use less in verying sizes. Under the inner eye is a good place to start.
As far as stripes... practice, practice, practice. My left inner arm is covered most nights in tear drops, stripes, dots & swirls. I catch up on my dvr & paint
I've thought of bringing a small kit when I sit waiting for my kids activities to finish, but my face painting already freaks out some parents

Re: Constructive Feedback!!!
After we get critiqued we should post a pic showing how we used the advice. I will work on my butterlfy and the unicorns and post a pic of them soon.
Re: Constructive Feedback!!!
I want something to critique, but don't have any good new stuff. Critiquing my old stuff does me no good because it's changed so much. Just being on the forum has made a big difference!
Re: Constructive Feedback!!!
I really dislike how my spiderman looks. These are from a while ago but they never seem to improve IMO

Re: Constructive Feedback!!!
my advise would be to miss the lines on the nose altogether. try coming out from the bottom of the white around the eyes and make a outward curved line towards the chin instead.
this is a pic off the snazaroo website that will explain a bit better
i like the adding of the spider then i don't have to think where the middle lines have to go as well! hope this helps!

Re: Constructive Feedback!!!
So, I draw a small circle in between the eyes, and all of the lines come out from the center point. Study images of the real spidey to get a real look of how he's laid out, then decide if you want to imitate the original, or go for the 'feel' of spidey and give it your own interpretation. My lines are a little too fat here, but it's the gist of how I do it.
Re: Constructive Feedback!!!
first and foremost... the eyes go OUT NOT UP. Also, the tops of the eyes can be more flat than round.... take a look at the pictures of spiderman on the kids' stuff right now, just google it or go to the store and look at some tshirts or sneakers... I personally disagree with leaving the webs out from between the eyes, it is inaccurate to what spiderman looks like. Kids don't want something that "sort of" looks like spiderman, they want to BE spiderman.
you don't want the costumes on here, but the picture at the top there is what is on ALL the kids' stuff right now http://spidermancostume.ca/

Re: Constructive Feedback!!!
here is mine... I like thinner spidey lines for the webs...

Re: Constructive Feedback!!!
ok, so, i tried the tiger again, added some stuff, tool away the dots, LOL, all the good stuff.
Re: Constructive Feedback!!!
The nose looks much better, you can use some dots just not as many as you used before. And keep practicing those lines, these ones look much better.
When I do my lines, I start in the middle of the line and wiggle down to a point, and then I start from the middle again and wiggle the other way to a point, that way i have the thin, fat, thin thing down and it makes my lines look crisper, does that make sence???

Re: Constructive Feedback!!!
Oh, and tiger marking to not need to be so semetrical, sometimes it looks more natural when the markings are diff. on both sides of the face. And add some small markings in with the big ones. Your markings on the cheeks are all the same size, adding some small ones in between would add more detail too.
Re: Constructive Feedback!!!
and follow the shape of you cheeks up again and down longside the nozzle...

Re: Constructive Feedback!!!
I like the one with the stars, I have one that arcs under the other cheek. Not every design has to make everyone's mouth drop. Part of our job is having something for everyone, and doing the best we can with the time we're given...having quick designs for squirmy kids and long lines, or a few designs with minimal paint (for kids who don't like the whole face and some of those paranoid parents) is smart.
Re: Constructive Feedback!!!

Re: Constructive Feedback!!!
Ok still with my pursuit of better animal designs, I did this on my daughter Angel. I realized after I took the photos and she washed her face that I forgot the nose.
I also tried the same design on myself.... and this time I remembered the nose... lolol
