I am making my Kidvention plans...bringing my kit, or, some of my kit. How do you take yours on the plane? How much do you take, do you have any advice...words of wisdom, ideas...etc...TIA

There was something about that... Not allowed entering the country, because you'll be working without permission?!
Check out carefully!

No worries there, staying in the states. Just wondering if people take it all, pack it, carry it on, take it through security...I even wondered if anyone ever tried to "pack" in a fat max...put your clothes in the bottom...keep your paint in the top...but that would probably be too heavy and god knows what it would look like when it came off the conveyer belt. Just plotting.

Never check your paints. Always carry them on. I lost close to an entire kit the last time I checked it into baggage. Bubble wrap is your best friend! You don't have to be as careful if you are packing the paint containers with lids, but if you're using a snaz palette or anything with removed lids, be extra careful. I always pack as much of my kit as I can fit it my carry on. Some people say condense your kit for conventions, but I never have. I've always been able to fit everything in a backpack so why not take it all? Once I get to my hotel, I sort through what I think I'll need for the classes I'm taking that day and leave the rest. Having a lighter load at conventions is always helpful. I seem to never pick classes right down the hall from one another. They are always across the entire convention center. I've never been stopped by security, but always keep a business card just in case.
