Sue - what table is this?
My roll up table just uped and died on me and I really want one that is large, stable and light that folds up easily and can be carried in a bag or with a strap or something....

I nearly bought another roll up one the other day - but my kit has out grown it!

It is Aluminium frame so very light for a table.
and I think they let you pick up although I never have. In general I've ordered alot of things through them they always arrive in tact. But I think they are close to you

I bought it knowing that I would need a bigger one but was happy to learn you can leave one of the thirds folded down and- alas you have a small table. You basically dont put the last set of legs on - But when I do this I make sure the hinge faces a wall, and throw a cheep plastic table cloth over it. as nothing has happened yet, but don't trust kids and there wondering fingers. I do like my table (and hate my chair)
it has the rubber stoppers also half way up so you can have it at half height or at full height with the extra legs you see on the bottom in the link picture

Thanks to all the tips I've discovered on here, I have put together a kit and set up / display I am rather happy with.

Quick set ups and compact kits.. - Page 2 20111111
(I'm on the right with a balloon parrot on my shoulder and my lovely friend and line manager is on the left).

The market umbrella was on sale a couple of months ago and cost me less than $100 from Big W (like Walmart?). My chair is from Ikea. It is sturdy and for around $40, I am so glad I have it because my back loves it (it's on the right of the photo). I plan to paint it one day.

Quick set ups and compact kits.. - Page 2 20110811
The 'suitcase' I bought from Bunnings for around $30. I love it for so many reasons, including the fact that I can lock it (keeping my inquisitive kids out) and that it fits my paints very nicely. It also looks professional and really sets me apart from the volunteer face painters. I plan to put a poster on the outside of the open lid that says 'Professional Face Painter' and my business name/logo: Fun2Play and website www.fun2play.com.au - at the moment the poster informs the customer about stuff re: potential allergies, limited liabilities, professional quality cosmetic paints, etc, etc.

This photo was taken a while back. I've added a few brushes, colours and split cakes / custom one strokes to the range since then (lol, you know how it is). All in all, with umbrella etc, it takes me 10-15 minutes to set up or put away. I do this on my own generally. I would love to have an ezy up, but while I'm mostly solo, I decided to keep it simple and manageable.

I use a Tag 'laptop' case. I've discovered that I don't need to use individual lids with the laptop, so it is quite fast to set up and pack down.

I take a couple of other bags with me to carry tablecloths etc, and also my glitter tattoo and/or balloon kit if needed. It all depends on the gig... but that's my kit and I'm happy with it.

I have a camp kitchen table (with the vertical back as seen in a previous post) on my wish list... but I've vowed to pay back my kit as it is before I get anything else that is not a necessity.... yeah, right! Twisted Evil

I just recently bought a FatMax and haven't used it yet, but can't wait to try it in a couple weeks! My current setup is super compact. I have one of those folding grocery carts which holds all my chairs, boards, etc. So all I have to carry is a bag over my shoulder with all my paints. I made a wood top to fit on the cart, a fabric sign that slips over the handle, and a fabric skirt that covers the sides. So, the cart not only does all the hauling, but doubles as my table. I have one of those chairs with a built-in canopy that pops up when I need it, which gives me shade without having to haul an umbrella. My paints are all in screw-together jars and it takes all of 3 minutes to unscrew and lay them out on my little lunch tray which is lined with a towel. I set that on my lap as I paint and my rinse water, glitter and mirror sit on my little table top. My design board either sits on the ground, leaning against the front of my cart, or sometimes I'll bring an easel to lift it up higher.

My setup has just become a little less compact...I udes to keep everything in the clear box , with all the paints fitting neatly in the top compartment; But with my books, mirror and brushes it became to heavy to carry by the lid.
So now i transferrred my most used paints to a cheap laptop case which holds all the above and more. I like it because the paint is velcroed in, and it looks neat and clean.
the box still goes with, because it holds the sponges ( loads of them) the goblets, towels, wet wipes etc.. and the extra paint and glitter of course.[Quick set ups and compact kits.. - Page 2 Imgp0310[/img]

I love seeing all these compact kits that give fresh ideas on storage & transport ; )
I had back surgery and have to keep my kit light & compact too because many parties have limited space for the painter while the kids are playing in the same room so I have no problem painting in small spaces ; )

Walmart kitchen section - get em while you can cause they are seasonal. So glad I got two when I found them. I heard they are going to be discontinued to be replaced with the flat ones.

I looked at riffle cases today for my kit Smile I just can't imagine packing it. All my stuff fits in a 31 large utility tote right now, which is easy to carry. How heavy is the case with your stuff in it Nikki?

It is a bit heavy 20 lbs but has wheels built in so it makes for easy transport. The little cart I use is quite helpful. I do have a MDX in which to transport my set up. like I said IDK about compact, but quick Yay. I looked at guitar cases, fat max, scrap book solutions ect. and I find this to be the best for me. I like the containability to help keep out curious hands. There are smaller versions, but I wanted the just add water and go set up and I loved the way the laptop case held my paints. I would love to have all square containers one day but hey it is a work in progress

Quick tip --New Face--keep your receipt! I am pretty tough on my stuff and as I outwore each case (which comes with a guarantee usually, designed for part-time hunters who use their guns once or twice a year) I would upgrade to a better durability level--until I finally arrived at a Pelican brand--which I've had for 3 or 4 years & love the best (with a lifetime guarantee). Never could have afforded it to begin with, but 30 bucks more a pop it worked!

Everything fits neatly inside my fat max. Including my glitter tattoo kit, small fx kit and my 30 color Paradise pallet stay in the bottom j.i.c I need them. I mainly work off my "table" top though.

And here is my board, I laminate all my photos at Office Depot because they have a heavy lamination that I I love you ! It also saves me tons of work because they also cut them for me... I then velcro them all to my board so they can be swapped out as needed.
