I think it's awesome (love those cute faces!) and you should definitely use it somewhere, but it might be too busy for a logo? My eye doesn't know where to rest when I glance at it. You should make it into a business card!

Great for a banner. But I think too much for a buisness card or logo. Back of a t- shirt would be cool too.

I second Angie, the faces are super cute, but its very busy, I would try changing the color of the middle line "face painting and glitter tattoos" to either purple or blue to make it less busy.
its great for a banner.

It's attracting the attention, that's very good, but I agree with the others about the busy thing. Maybe using one lettertype?

I love it, sooo adorable and fun! So creative the way you did the faces, too! I love you

I think it's perfect for a banner or tee but would use actual client photos for business cards since those are what really sell a fp. Smile

T-shirt definitely.

Banner - if the second line was a different plain font that would be more legible from a distance.

Not a business card as it is - your name and phone are good, but lose the smilies, the clean up the font on the second line to a solid colour in a cleaner font. Use photos if you can.

maybe you could pick one of the faces to be the one on your biz card? It would remind them of the bigger design when they see it, but be simple enough for a card.

SuzySparkles you are getting good at this logo design thing. Its very cute. I love it as a T-shirt and banner. I agree you should use some part as actual logo to remind them and tie the idea together.
Your very talented.

That is SO cute! I love the idea - very inventive and clever Very Happy

I agree with those who said it would make a sweet tshirt and those who suggested maybe keeping it the same font so as to make it less 'busy' for the banner... and I like Perry's idea of making the business card with one of the faces so it's a reflection of the banner but less involved... (or maybe an actual painted face of one of the designs on the banner and use the same font/colouring on the banner to tie it together?)

It's lovely Smile

Ok... Suzy sorry I couldn't do your logo the way I wanted to... but I thought if I started it a little you might get what I mean... I don't have time to do it justice. (sorry!!!)

Anyway, I think maybe if you change your name to either something solid or make the colors lighter, or the other way around the face painting part, it would help the eyes flow down the design. It was too busy with the faces, (even though I LOVED all of them they were so cool!!!) so I took some out. If you like it feel free. On my screen it seemed like the faces were freaking out... I don't know if its the software, I have only used it like 5 times... but I hope you get the idea anyway. Good Luck!!!

I am still learning the adobe elements software. I like xara and corel better. they are faster and well I already know how to use them.

Logo Critique Empty Phone number on banner?

Post by Denise Cold Sat Jul 02, 2011 12:52 am

My suggestion:

Put Face Painting and Glitter Tattoos at the top
Faces (all of them...I liked the line but they need a little separation)
SuzySparkles.org

I don't think you need a number on there. Some would probably disagree but I think they are going to ask for your card if they are interested. Others might have more input (might have gotten calls directly from a banner) but I think it's too much...and a phone might change and render your banner useless.

You might have the gradient go through all the letters as a whole at an angle rather than a gradient on each set...but I can't do that with my limited program. I just noticed the graffiti banner does this.

Here's a little mockup from your image.

Oh, well. Smile

I still think you need your website there. I think that people will lose phone numbers they get off a banner (write it on a little slip of paper never to be seen again) but they might remember your name and that you have a website.

Loving the ones with the Mask on them !!! Well done !- I am a bit partial to black backgrounds making everything look more profesh.

I agree putting your website address is a good idea - I wish I had put it on my banners - nowadays people just punch it into their iphone and get your site up straight away.

Wow Suzy!!! I really like the new set!!! I think it fits you and your name a ton better!!!!!!! Plus although the other looked more um, kid appropriate... (sorry can't think of the wording) this looks more professional.

I totally disagree about the phone number... I think you should still put it on the banner as well because everyone an there mama has a cell phone now, and I have actually had people add mine to their contacts on the spot. So I think you would be doing yourself a disservice by not adding it!! I think you need both website as well as phone number on a banner, some people don't have web access on their phones, but its a phone, so um... well you know... Smile
