So I have been doing more business stuff then practice and i realize I better get practicing if I actually want to start charging people. Here I used snazaroo basic pallette from Michaels and some brushes from wal mart. I am really not happy about the snazaroo but its cheap enough for me to start out.

Please leave your comments. I want to get better like all of you! any suggestions of what to use on darker skin tones?

Thanks

It's very cute. You can get the colours a little brighter if you get the paints wet and let the water soak into it a little bit before you load your sponges snd brushes.

Maybe one of the moderators can move this thread to getting started face painting instead of the balloon section Smile keep up the good work! Smile

Thanks Pery! I noticed that the paint is light. I think I may need to use metallic paint on my skin. I have to work on my lines as well.

THanks So much

I actually find the metallics to be even more sheer. Believe me, it IS possible to get Snaz to be very bright and opaque on even dark skin. You need to get the paint really wet and the sponge relatively dry (not completely dry, but more than you think it should be). Let the water soak into the paints a bit.... Other paints don't need to warm up as much as Snazaroo does, but once it is warmed up like that, it blends beautifully. I prefer Snaz for a lot of reasons.

I think the problem is that I was dipping the sponge in water and that did make the paint very wet
