Nice and neat. One suggestion. make your upper wings larger than the lower ones as that's how real wings are.

VERY nice! You go girl!!!
I love the swirly to it!

With the bottom dots that go up to the eyes make sure your brush tip is rounded/has enough paint so that you can get nice rounded dots. Also, there is a special brush just for making dots (makes life a lot easier)

Make the top wing bigger and the bottom smaller and you will be golden!
For the top I have them close their eye and put the sponge from the lid to as far up as it goes.
For the bottom I bend the sponge in my hand so that it looks more like a J so that it comes out curved and only the first few colors hit.

Wipes for the paint outside the lines and you are golden!

One question.... Should I wipe the edges before I do my black line work?

That is what I do.
I wipe it so it is symmetrical and then do the line work.
Takes just a second

Great butterfly! I like it & like your butterfly body & antenna(something that took me forever to master:-)!
I like to do my butterflies smaller(so they don't take over the face). It keeps the kiddos from smudging them.
I only wipe the edge of my butterfly if I really smudge it. It takes too much time & I try not to use wipes on their faces unless I have to. Kids are more likely to have a reaction to the wipe than to your paint(I'd hate for a reaction to be blamed on my paints & really it's the wipe). Also, wiping the edge can take more time. It's better to get the practice down on how best to lay down a butterfly. Trust me, you'll get lots of practice as butterflies are the #1 choice for little girls! Very Happy
Here's an example of making the butterfly smaller(try ending it at the cheekbones).
