TAG, YOU"RE IT FOR 5! A fun way to get ideas for new designs....

Boo. I don't think Australia has ever had a henna convention...

*sigh* sorry peeps.... I actually painted this yesterday but between my camera battery being dead and not being able to find the cable to put the pics on my puter it was all just to hard! lol
Anyway here it is - I actually only remembered the theme was 'something to do with a bird'... lol yeah yeah that's me lazy AND vague.
Since I have been working on one stroke designs and tattoo style designs I decided to incorporate both into one design.... I'm not madly impressed but I like it enough to do it again, better.
It was really quick!

Thanks Synni! I only just realised I did no white highlights, teardrops or stars - it would look so much better with it..... funny how you only notice something you left out after you have looked at the pic a thousand times!
( I was really lazy and just used one Tag 1 stroke cake to do the whole lot including the lining.... shoulda pulled out the white!)

for a 5 minute bird i am extremely impressed and don't think it even needs all that extra stuff you mentioned. stick a little scroll with a name in its mouth and any adult would even be happy with it!!!

Okay, I hope I did this right! And I hope this falls into the category of preschool cartoon character. My kids are a lot older, so I fell back to what the neighbors kids are in to.



Brobee from Yo Gabba Gabba
I realized I mixed up the yo and the gabba, they should be opposite. Just glad I managed to paint the words backwards so they are legible!
Sorry I didn't do a step by step.
All paints are diamond fx, and I mixed metallic red with neon pink to make the pink a little darker so I wouldn't have to go over it several times. I used a number 8 filbert and a number 4 round for everything, then used a rake to flick the darker green and make it more fur like.

this gives a good starting point and with practice and some enhancements I will probably add it to my book.
