Gina, you'd be amazed how simple that dragon is! It's just a black/white split cake But I'll try to do several different ones...maybe over Christmas when I'm not working 7 days a week

For the head/neck and also the torso mannequin - how do the colors blend? I like to use my fingers but find that the paint doesn't dry enough - I end up wiping it all off/smearing instead of blending it since it doesn't "set" if that makes sense.
Also, so the eyebrows are going to come off, but are they painted on or actual synthetic hair pieces? It's hard to tell...
Thanks!!!
Thanks Sonia
The colors don't blend as good on the torso/mannequin head as on a real person and definitely don't use your fingers to blend it just makes a mess. I try blending as much as I can with sponges (that seems to work somewhat).
As for the eyebrows: they are painted on and all the make up and eyes on the head also....My mannequin head is plain now, not even pupils But again I say ... I love my head (still don't have a name for her, I feel bad saying "The Head" ) & torso
@ Dawnie: Hmmm? What kind of metallic paint are you using because I used wolfe metallic gold, silver, blue & red on my head when doing the masks below and they washed just fine (to clean: I rinse off with warm water first, dry off the water, then wipe the rest off with 100% acetone on a cotton swab) no hard rubbing at all.
Here are a few more designs I've painted on my head & 1 more on my torso:

Re: ***The illusive STAIN-FREE practice head ***
I've used metallics on mine several times and I haven't had any stains whatsoever. That's odd that it would stain on one and not at all on another. I suppose anything is possible but to date I haven't had one single color stain my head.
I'm not a fan of DFX even though I have used it on the head before and even those didn't stain. I tested the DFX black and metallics and also the wolfes on the head. I personally do not use DFX on people/children.
Not saying it's a "bad" product but I just can't bring myself to use it knowing in advance how badly it stains the skin. It makes for excellent line work but I've mastered my paradise paints to the point where they are working just as well.

I was wondering they have so many it may be a different brand than the ones you guys got. Does it have a brand in it? I'm hoping mine is the non staining. I'm so excited mine has shoulders and partial boobies. Hopefully good for painting some jewelry.

Hi Gina,
The one I've been using for quite some time now is the one I posted in the link that started this thread (The very first entry). I haven't had any problems with it and it's came in handy many times. I'm not sure about the other heads they offer but you can't go wrong with the one I posted the link for. I have found that the head does seem to like when you pat her on top of her head once in a while and say something like "good girl" or "aren't you a good little head"....you can almost see her smile. ;-p

Yep, I emailed and got no response.SuzySparkles wrote:I ordered mine the 24th of November, and got it yesterday... Did you try emailing the seller before opening a case against them on ebay?
Re: ***The illusive STAIN-FREE practice head ***
Oh come on Gina, it's not like I've tried feeding it or something! I don't think mental health care is needed quite yet, maybe we could start out with just a simple prayer? haha

oh no that's expensive....here (ebay, same place as my head) is where I got my torso (looks exactly like the one on the wowfactorstuff website). The price of two w/shipping is less than the one without shipping from wowfactorstuff.
They fit right into each other so they don't take up more space by having two.

Re: ***The illusive STAIN-FREE practice head ***
Now that I think of it Gina, you might just be right. I better keep a close eye on myself. I still maintain it's perfectly sane to talk to the head but if I ever come here and make claims that the head has spoken back, it's then I want you to take action!

LOL @ stray heads Gloria. I will keep my eye out for any stray heads that might wander up in my yard. I just want to know your suggestion for the most humane method of capturing the head. I'm sure there's a hotline that can be dialed for people caught abusing stray heads.
