@ Vampkat: LOL! Yeah, by last night mine has none of the original make up, nor does she have eyes....my 4 year old asked me "how did you get her eyes to close?" LOL!
@ SuzySparkles: I guess they're on to us
@ GinaCentral: Yes I did get the torso...just threw some paint on it to check for staining but no I have not done any "painting" on it.
@ Party Picassos: I just might look into that "meghan" head....my 14 yr old daughter wants her own head now

Weird that they would take mine then decline yours.SuzySparkles wrote: We're sorry, but displayfashion has declined your best offer for US $20.00 (1 x US $20.00).

OK, here it is GinaCentral. I painted this little outfit w/tatt on my plastic torso...and the pic to the right is after I cleaned up all the paint (cleaned it with just soap and water...in the tub w/handheld shower). Paint went on pretty good also (used wolfe paints).

Thanks GildedCat! (that's my first time doing jeans - WooHoo!)
Re: ***The illusive STAIN-FREE practice head ***
OKay- I just glanced at the picture and my first thought was... how did she find clothing that fit the mannequin that well? Then it hit me... that outfit was painted on!
Great job!!

LOL! Cool thanks!
Re: ***The illusive STAIN-FREE practice head ***
Awesome designs, Gloria!
For the head/neck and also the torso mannequin - how do the colors blend? I like to use my fingers but find that the paint doesn't dry enough - I end up wiping it all off/smearing instead of blending it since it doesn't "set" if that makes sense.
Also, so the eyebrows are going to come off, but are they painted on or actual synthetic hair pieces? It's hard to tell...
Thanks!!!

I still haven't gotten mine. They sent me a status changed to "shipped" notice on Nov 15th but I still haven't gotten it so I had to open a case with ebay. I'll keep you all informed.
Re: ***The illusive STAIN-FREE practice head ***

Re: ***The illusive STAIN-FREE practice head ***
Well, it is coming from NJ to CA and was ordered right before thanks giving so I'm hoping it is just taking a long time via UPS ground.
Another possibility is that it got stollen from my doorstep but that is not likely since I get stuff dropped at my doorstep often and nothing has been stollen before. Plus, my neighbor was coming over every day to feed my cat during the week I was gone and she was keeping an eye out for deliveries.

Re: ***The illusive STAIN-FREE practice head ***
So much for a stain-free head.... mine is completely stained even using the 100% acetone I use mostly metallics so be warned... do not use metallics on it!!
Re: ***The illusive STAIN-FREE practice head ***
I ordered mine the 24th of November, and got it yesterday... Did you try emailing the seller before opening a case against them on ebay?

Re: ***The illusive STAIN-FREE practice head ***
Well I just tried scrubbing with all my might with a rough wash cloth and most of it came off... but that's a lot of work for every time we want to paint on her! I'll have to be careful not to use metallics... the other colors come right off with no effort whatsoever with the acetone
Re: ***The illusive STAIN-FREE practice head ***

Incredible talent you have there.

vampkat wrote:THIS!!!! That avatar is so amazing, and my daughter about poops herself evertime I'm forum reading and she sees it. She begs me for it, and I tell her there's NO WAY I could do that.
Thanks, ya'll! I just saw these.. sorry about that!
Hmmmm... maybe I could talk my daughter into modeling for me again... since I got the practice head she refuses to be painted anymore! LOL Maybe I can talk her into being the camera person and I could paint on the practice head? But the white tiger is really, really time-consuming to get it to look like my avatar... I do a much simpler version for parties, etc. now. The avatar version has a lot of detail in it. But I guess I could give it a shot!
Re: ***The illusive STAIN-FREE practice head ***
Squiggle you also need to do a tutorial on your grey dragon. I love it.
