Practice Head

I've noticed they charge a lot for practice heads on the face painting product sites. I found a great practice head here for only $14 and shipping. Just in case anyone is in the market.

Speaking of... I can't get my poor practice head clean. He/she is a bit of a mess

I use a few drops of Neutrogena Sesame body oil on a cotton ball and every stain comes right off with minimal rubbing. I haven't tried mineral oil or baby oil but it would probably work too.

Those are great prices for heads also. The thing I love about my head is that she is so pretty, she makes my designs look good

The Wolfe brothers say to use alcohol and a washcloth and scrub. I want mine sparkling clean too, but how clean does it really need to be. LOL

I found on another forum that cooking oil works. I did a small spot (since I was in a hurry but just had to try it anyway) and was quite impressed.

I tried alcohol along with almost everything else in my bathroom and kitchen. It didn't work. I didn't try cooking oil but it's the same basis as my sesame oil. What's great is you only need a little. You don't have to make a big slathery mess with oil. I use so little that most of the time I don't even have to wash my girl off afterward.

she was a little stained then got left in a cupboard on our houseboat in HK when I was painting in the UK that summer.
when I got back she had dark blue spots (same colour as snaze elctric/ wolfe metallic blue which I do use a lot) and is now called Dot....

Apparently you smear butter or cooking oil on it, leave it at th window to dry in the sun and then wash it off.

That's why I use pure virgin coconut oil to clean my skin after wearing make up or paints.

It dissolves it totally, pulls oils out of your pores with any dirt trapped and then rinses off beautifully. It's not a barrier oil so it doesn't clog your skin.

Follow by a cotton ball dipped in witch hazel if it still feels 'greasy' to ya...but for my mature skin, I just water splash and wipe off the excess and then sleep in it. Feels good.
