Re: Post Submissions Here!
thanks _ I wasn't sure but was in a goofy mood. I maybe I'll paint something with stones on Metina when I see her - I think Metina NEEDS to be painted!
Re: Post Submissions Here!
I'm about to post a super simple step by step jewelry that I like to use a lot. It can be done in one minute so it's a great line mover. It will be up some time next week.

CHALLENGE BONUS: Anyone who posts a video of their submission for this challenge will receive free goodie to them by mail. Just PM me your name and address after the video is posted.
I really think that videos will really help those of us who haven't a clue how to do those.
For those who have already posted, if you feel like doing a video, just redo your entry on your arm or something. Sorry, but I just thought of adding this bonus now.
Looking foward to some vids.

Re: Post Submissions Here!
thanks - I think it took me longer to take pictures than to paint it. It was pretty quick like 5 min

Re: Post Submissions Here!
So i've never done a jewelry design and so I had to take a picture of a bracelet I liked and followed the shadows and highlights: Step by step pictures and instructions to come, but I wanted to force myself to do it:
Step 1: Using a round brush and Snaz teal & Dfx L blue mixture, make round beads spaced nicely
Step 2: Using a small detail brush, paint design in DFX silver with Mehron powder mixed in
Step 3: Using a tiny detail brush and Wolfe black,
outline the silver jewelry and design.
Step 4: Tiny detail brush & Wolfe White, make highlights on the middle beads and silver
Step 5: Dfx bronze used to and depth to the beads (marble) and silver pieces. Add shadow along the bottom and sides of jewelry.
Final Step: Dfx brown to further add low/high lights along the jewelry and on the beads. Add more white detail along the larger beads.
Another pic of my design with my other stuff, looks more realistic!

Re: Post Submissions Here!
wow these are all so amazing.
5 min to do the frog wow...It would take me 5 hours, and it probably still wouldn't remotely resemble a frog.

Re: Post Submissions Here!
I saw this bracelet on etsy & know I can never afford it, so... I simplified it & painted it:
1) Tools: filbert brush & round detail brush. Q-tip
2) Paints: DFX metallic light blue, metallic dark blue, metallic purple, gold, metallic copper, white & black. Starblend black.
Using a filbert brush paint an oval
Paint the cut stone using m. purple, m. blue, black & white
shade & bighlight metallic areas w/ copper, black & white. Shade under endge of bracelet.
