male fairy costume for parties?

Hello everyone!

I have the slightest bit of a dilemma. We want to start adding a fairy costume to what we offer to dress up as for parties (currently only clowns.)

My dress is sorted out, all I need to do is buy the fabric and make it. However I'm having issues figuring out what the best male counterpart costume would be for events that want two entertainers. In theory we could offer a fairy and a clown/pirate but I would really rather something that coordinates more but is still simple enough that if it doesn't get much use it's not a huge investment.

I want to know what you think! Please your ideas and opinions are more than appreciated Thank you!

a wood sprite prince, a more masculine fairy with woodsy colors and embellishments?

Hmm possibly. Both good ideas he could use the christmas elf tights and whipping up a tunic shirt and woven stick/leaf crown would be simple enough.

I suppose a Prince Charming costume would also work, then it would double duty as being the second entertainer for the eventual princess costume!

prince charming sounds good, and like you said, it could do double duty, you could have extra details to switch from fairy prince/peter pan type to true prince.

Most photos I looked at were shirtless--but these might work for kids parties. (I still can't post pictures--my lack of knowledge and just taking time to figure it out!)

a robin hood type costume works good with a fairy

Personally I think he could just wear black slacks, a white dress shirt and a vest made out of the same material as your dress.
