Re: Life Changes
I think it is great that you are having this adventure. I am a military wife who moved all over the U.S and Italy. I loved it. My children were younger and they got to experience the culture. My advice is to see as much of the country and culture as you can. You will meet some really great people over there. You are going to have a great time.

Re: Life Changes
i think its fabulous! it can be great for your kids to experience different culture and see how different the world is outside our own little bubble. Many countries have international schools where kids from around the world are taught in english, especially for families like yours.
i grew up in Norway, at 16 I came to cali with the intention of staying one year, haha, Im still here 30 years later. my sister is in Norway, she lived in Holland a few years, My father is in texas, he lived here a few years, my brother is in Az, he lived here a few years. Its great to get out and experience the world. when I was growing up, my parents took us to other european countries yearly. I think it teaches children to not judge and be more open minded seeing other countries, i say good for you ! woohoo, adventuer!!

Re: Life Changes
The daughter of some friends of mine spent a year alone teaching English in Bangkok , Thailand right after she graduated from LSU. She loved it.
My cousin has lived alone all over the world in places like Paris, England, Papua New Guinea, and Italy. From those places, she would travel to other locations, alone, and to my knowledge, never had any problems. She just turned 28.
What an adventure you and your family will have! Please keep us posted!!!

Re: Life Changes
So my brother helped with me my resume---he is AMAZING at them--
I posted it and the sad part is when I tell people my family situation---I would say at least 80% so far have said NO--they don't work with families.....
SO I am still plugging away at it!
Veelux: We are totally going for it and super excited!
Wonderwoman: We want to--we have talked about trying to get a job in the center of the country so we will be about 2 hours from everywhere--Korea is pretty small---we want to see as much as possible--I would even love to fly to Japan, China, and India since we are just a "jump" away from those countries!!
ninaschau: You are quite the family! That is great!
Luvs to paint: We are really hoping it all works out! If we love it we have talked about going to different countries and teaching all over, but who knows what our plans will be.
