Newbie Challenge 15---Color me Green with Envy

Ladies--I have to cry a little! Some one once sent me a TON of ideas for this challenge and I some deleted ALL my messages instead of just the "marked" ones---UGG!

SO if you have ANY suggestions for these challenges I would LOVE to hear it!
I know Valerie send me lots and someone else did too----




This week lets work with a specific color

Green---
I just want to see you work with this color and what you come up with.

Can't wait to see everyones different ideas!

I'm not sure what the criteria for the 'Newbie Challenge' is, but I painted Kermit tonight and as he says...'It ain't easy being green'

this is just a place for us Newbies to feel comfortable posting our work--The challenge is just a weekly thing to get us to try new stuff--
Welcome and VERY FUN green! Super cool---what are the eyes? styrofoam?

I got a foam 'golf ball' from the dollar store and cut it in half then used a file to rub off the dimples. Then a marker to get the pupils. Latex worked great to glue them to his head. Put latex on the foam and set aside to dry and then put latex on his forehead, also let dry to tacky. Latex loves to stick to latex, so they went on fine.

I don't like cutting styrofoam...shiver...

Feeling a bit "green around the gills" just thinking about this Will have to come up with something besides snakes...what I usually do with green.

Well, one of my favorite things to facepaint is still a butterfly.
This one is from today, this time my eldest was very willing to be painted.


During Carnival, last year, my daughter and I had greens in our facepaint.




I also found Lisa's dragon, which I used at my work.


So, green is a good color huh!

Did this one in late November and it's pretty green so thought I'd post. It's a Lisa Joy Young design that I've been wanting to try since last year!
