When you put white next to your adult teeth and eyes, they look yellowy. Choose a pale pink or gold to do your white around your eyes and teeth.
I am talking through my 52 year old teeth that I wish were whiter.

Aah, that's a good one too Fess!!!

To deal a large number of business card, I use CardFila.com on iPhone because it is so easy to collect, find and use any contact at any time.
i can access the contacts everywhere without Internet connection for Mobile (iPhone or Android phones) and computer, laptop as well.

Re: Business Cards!
It was so interesting to read this topic! Thank you so much! It took me also too long until I was really satisfyed with my business card. This was my 3rd attempt... I have a card that is folded in the middle. With girly design, monster, animal and adult (which is also me, so that people know who will actually come to the event). And I have combined it with a care card. In the middle of my business card I wrote what kind of facepaint I am using and how it can be washed off.
And I would recommend NOT to put the most complicated design on the card, because kids see it and come straight away with the wish:" I want this!" And I don't always have the time....
And I find that the picture of the kids designs shold be made on the kids, it looks more attractive. Not to forget to smile!

Re: Business Cards!
I figured I should post my business cards as well!
I would love to put cleaning instructions on them, but I don't have any room! Maybe I'll just make some half flyers to give out with the cards... Thought?

Re: Business Cards!
Does this look okay?
I got bored and started messing around on Vista Print
Totally copied the removal instructions from MichelleLA on another post, tho

Re: Business Cards!
I like the design you chose, Mary. But I think you should have a close up of the face for the picture because the lettered red shirt distracts from it.
Also fund raisers would look better altogether on one line, and "Holiday" maybe should be made lowercase because it's not a proper noun.
Nice colours though. My dad's business cards are this template in black and yellow lol

Re: Business Cards!
I agree with the previous comments. Holidays could be capitalized but only if the rest are capitalized too.

Thanks for the input!
I didn't even notice I capitalized the h in holiday. I was so half-asleep it just passed right by me

I hope I am not too late!!
What a great thread... It is so hard to commit to a design because you know you will be printing off so many!!
So in hopes that people are still looking at this thread and I might get some feedback I am posting my business card and post card designs.

These are just simple and to the point... I am a little unsure of the stuff that I wrote, face painting isn't that big around here (at least not that I know of) and I would love to find myself in a cafe or restaurant, weekly gig so to say.
Any suggestions?
I wish I could comment on all of the previous posts, I am amazed at the talent here not only in the painting of faces but in the graphical design area! amazing!
Thanks!

Re: Business Cards!
Danny,
Love the cards , very effective. Just a comment on the wording (post card reverse). I would leave out the reference to "kids" in both paragraphs. You want the image that you cater to ALL people. IMHO, I would say something like " It doesn't take much to add fun at any event.... etc." and "A memorable occasion will have patrons....... etc." Just my humble thoughts.
Best wishes

Thanks!
Great suggestion, I am also going to cut down on the amount of fonts I use on the front of the postcard, I think I went a little font crazy

Re: Business Cards!
My goodness, I was so enthralled with the card that I didn't notice the font changes. To these old eyes, it doesn't look too busy. So change the fonts if you want, but I don't think they're too bad.

Re: Business Cards!
I would suggest using the same fonts\lettering design\placement on both the cards and post cards. Saw a class (I think on FABATV) on marketing that discussed branding. Pick a picture and a font and stick with it for both - and any additional items.
I'm a visual person myself and I will remember a picture and\or font design\placement before I remember a name of a business. Another face painter in my area always has a specific tiger face on all her promotional items...can't always remember the name, but I remember the Tiger!

Re: Business Cards!
Very good point, Shadowdrawing. On studying the card/s closer, I do find the mixed fonts a little unsettling. Quite right, people remember images much better than a mass of words. This is how people with a photographic memory remember a page, as an image of letters. Not a list of words.

Re: Business Cards!
Hey guys, thanks for the advice.
I too am upset about the mixed fonts, I have been consistent till now with my fonts and picture for everything but the postcards, I couldn't get the same fonts in the new program (Vista print).
I am trying to mock something up in another program that will make the picture/fonts one image for branding, but I am having little luck.
If I need to sacrifice the exact fonts I will have to as I am running out of time for marketing and unless someone can see my business card next to the postcard the colors and imagery are all the same and it is unlikely that they will know the difference.
I am hoping that my image of my daughter with the jaguar face will have the same effect as the tiger for the painter in your area!
Thanks again!
Danny
