window wrap on my car ... SQUEEEEEEEEEE!
I had to share... it looks incredible. There is a local shop that did it for me and it was only $150 for perforated vinyl. I talked to my insurance broker and she said I didn't even need to change my insurance to put advertising on my car because it's only weekends and it's mainly just our family car (it was more about how much driving was in the business than what was on the car). I'm LOVING it!!
and from the inside of the car (ok there's a big building right there, so not much to see... but you can clearly see the telephone pole on the right side and its shadow against the wall)

I'm so excited about it... this is the first big advertising that I've done other than just banners up where I'm working. Of course, my husband works at The Beer Store, so I hope people don't start thinking I'm a lush! LOL But we're Canadians, so beer's not a bad thing (even if I can't drink it because of my gluten intolerance)

Re: window wrap on my car ... SQUEEEEEEEEEE!
That is awesome. And thanks for posting a picture of it from the inside too. I have always wondered how difficult it was to see through window wraps.
Re: window wrap on my car ... SQUEEEEEEEEEE!
Perry! That looks FANTASTIC!!!
On a side note, I am celiac and noticed they make some gluten-free beer. I have tried a few that are available locally in my area in BC and they aren't great to my taste buds, but might be good if you like a darker ale. *sigh* I miss real beer the most out of everything, I think.
Very cool car decal!

Re: window wrap on my car ... SQUEEEEEEEEEE!
actually, I don't really like beer... it's just one of those things that you have to wonder what people will think of the "clown car" that's always parked at the beer store LOL
Re: window wrap on my car ... SQUEEEEEEEEEE!
I LOVE your wrap, Perry! I'm sure it will generate LOTS of calls.
I want one too, but first I have to solve my car "problem," which was not a problem till I began this business. It's a 12-year-old Subaru station wagon, a bit beat up looking, missing three hubcaps, full of character, and has the best working engine and transmission ever.
It's always been in my mind to run a Subaru FOREVER. But now, I worry that it looks so unprofessional for when I pull up to gigs. From an environmental perspective (and from my own quirky offbeat perspective), it's really cool to keep a car forever. But I do fret a bit over it. I'm thinking of removing the fourth and only remaining hubcap this spring, and painting rainbow starbursts on every wheel hub ...
Yours looks fantastic, Perry!

Re: window wrap on my car ... SQUEEEEEEEEEE!
I understand that all too well... when I started doing this, we had a horrid looking minivan with scrapes all over the place ... drove it until the guy at the garage told me it wasn't worth fixing all the things wrong with it. My next car is going to be electric... that is my vow.
Re: window wrap on my car ... SQUEEEEEEEEEE!
Ohhhh JJJJJ you sooo should paint rainbows on your wheels, that would be incredibly fun x
Re: window wrap on my car ... SQUEEEEEEEEEE!
Oh and perry I love it, you have inspired me to go and look for stickers x
Re: window wrap on my car ... SQUEEEEEEEEEE!
That looks fabulous! I'm scared to get one since I get a bit road-ragey sometimes
Let us know how it is when it rains? I hear the perforated bits get blurred up. Would love to know your experience!

ABD - More and more, I'm thinking I WILL paint rainbows on my wheels. I'm also thinking of hand painting the entire car. I'm not worried about the car's "finish" or anything -it's 12 years old. If I could do something fun and magical on the car, all its "imperfections" could be swooped away, and the car would be like a rolling rainbow )
I bought this car used, in 2000, two weeks after my first Subaru was INCINERATED in an arson in a parking garage (along with 42 other cars( at a ski resort. THAT was a story.
Hey! I just thought! That car fire's anniversary has just passed. It happened on March 4th! A week later, my nicec was born. She's going to be 12 this weekend. I tell her all the time that I will drive THIS car to her high school graduation. That's in six years. I just bought new tires this fall, and my service station guy assured me that they are good ones, and will definitely last until she graduates.
SO maybe I will roll up to her grad. in a painted rainbow car. We'll see ...

Has anyone ever considered the business card or brochure holder on their car along with a wrap. So that people could take your info? I have seen these somewhere.

Re: window wrap on my car ... SQUEEEEEEEEEE!
there are "weather proof" ones that you could try, but I've heard that some of them still get damp and I wouldn't take it through a car wash with that... they are meant to stay completely vertical and just stop rain from the top... not sure how the high wind and road splatter would treat it and I'd NEVER remember to put cards into it every time I stopped just to keep them safe while I'm driving.
I have the QR code on the window which takes anyone with a reader app on their phone to my website. More and more people, I think, have a smart phone and keep information that way. I have business cards to give people that want them, but for me, I never keep other people's cards... even if they force them on me, it goes in my pocket and gets thrown out the next time I clean my pockets. If I'm really interested, I put the info in my phone or look them up on facebook.

here's one option... looks kind of flimsy to me though http://www.vehiclecardpockets.com/
Re: window wrap on my car ... SQUEEEEEEEEEE!
I think they were called "Car Caddys"... I actually sent off an email to enquire but got no response from the company.
Like Perry says, they won't stand up to weather... and if it won't do that I can't be bothered.
I keep a large stack of cards in a handy hole in my dashboard and give them out. I've been chased in parking lots and at gas stations by people wanting a card...

My brother has a wrap all over for his personal training and he uses magnets that people can just help themselves to. They are waterproof and handy.
Re: window wrap on my car ... SQUEEEEEEEEEE!
To answer the question about the rain, I can see through it fine in the rain. The only time that I can't see through it easily is when the window is foggy at all. If it is fogged up, I can't see anything through it at all (but, turn on the defrost and it's fine). Otherwise, the weather isn't really a factor. When the sun is shining directly on it, I can see the colours, but still see through it... most of the time I can't even see that the design is there except that the view is a little blurred/pixelated.
Re: window wrap on my car ... SQUEEEEEEEEEE!
Turn the subaru into an art car. Then the character goes right along with face painting.
I was going to do that with our old car, then my son totaled it. No one was hurt, except my bank account. One of the motivations for wanting to do fp professionally is to cover the stupid car payment. But once this little baby is paid off, it is getting painted crazy. I am thinking bollywood meets 60's hippie.
