Van wrap...
Stashed cash away and now ready to wrap my van...need some help. It will not only be fp, but magic shows and comedy characters. My thoughts are a exaggerated comedy paint brush on one side (horizonal at top) dripping paint with painted faces in the paint drips. Our website on the brush handle. BUT then I realized I'm never satisfied with my painting, so all the photos I picked...now I don't think are good examples of my work. (After all we are a bred that are always trying to improve...hence the forum.) Really appealing to birthday party market since it is an all cash market in my area and other gigs come from bps. Wanted to use wonderful tiger I did on a beautiful college girl, looks exciting, a pretty princess for girls, a dog for toddlers, even a mask on a delightful grandmother, of course butterflies are always a favorite. My market is very country and past experience has shone simple easy to understand designs work best. Do you think it would be best to use traditional designs that are always a favorite? Don't think this is the place to go overboard since everyone at a party will want what they see on the van, don't always want to be telling them "well if you book more time". Believe it is best to be truly representative of what they will get at a party. (well a LITTLE better) Scared to spend $3000 and hate my ride. The back and other side is easy with show advertising compared to the fp side!!
Appreciate any past experiences or advice.

Re: Van wrap...
I would stick with classic designs (your best examples of them of course)... if you're anything like me, you aren't completely happy with it the moment you take the picture, but you need to post pictures even if they will be out of date pretty fast.
Re: Van wrap...
I let the graphic designer at the sign shop pick the designs on mine. I gave him a cd with about 65 photos on it that I liked enough to have on my vehicle... and left it up to him. I just said I wanted examples of the different things I listed on it. I was thrilled with it.

Choose whatever you feel will both capture attention and get people to make contact. The purpose of most promotional and advertising materials should be simply to get people to take that action ...... then you can start the sales process and convert them.
So ... strong graphics and a simple 'call to action' ie website, phone number etc. plus a message as to something they will gain by simply making contact.
Quite what the images should be ... only you know your market and ideal customers, so think what THEY would want to see to make that contact and put that on there.

Make sure you don't over-complicate the design, if it's too busy people won't be able to take anything in.
Use your favourite classic designs and make sure you have you contact information (phone number and website etc) clear and bold.
I'd love to see when it's done!
