Cheater texture stencils

What a wonderful idea...thanks

Airbrush artists don't consider anything cheater! We spray and sponge thru everything we find. I my pre-class at FPBAConvention I'll cover all sorts of everyday finds to use as stencils. Looking at objects with new eyes is jsut what creative artists should do. I am sure I could find 5 cool texture "stencils" in every painters kitchen. I love the hardware store for such finds - and the junk pile!

If you get the PLASTIC doilies you can wash and re-use.

Dollar stores also have cheap acrylic photo frames in various sizes that are great for sliding in signage for your table - pricing, notices, etc. I picked up a bunch of assorted sizes for a buck each (way better than $15-25 each at Staples!)

I use the photo frames too, Shannon!!!

But where does one find plastic doilies?

I definitely will be looking for some doillies at my local dollar-ish store.

Plastic doilies are usually near the paper ones... think... things old ladies use... LOL

So true Loretta, I almost fell out of my chair when Sean A. taught me how to make kick butt clouds with a torn brillo pad! No cheating necessary...just plain, quirky artistic innovation!

Dollar Tree usually has packs of colored bobby pins etc. as well
