Query About Texture Stencils...
Okay, for all of you who use actual factory made texture stencils, what is your favorite brand and what are a few of your favorite patterns? I'm looking for a more convincing scale texture than what I've been using (see pic) but I'm also thinking about getting some abstract swirly stencils, random sized dot stencils, animal print stencils, and maybe some starry stencils... But I'm not sure where to go for the best quality, look, and price.

Re: Query About Texture Stencils...
Im in love with the small BAM stencils from SF. Not the large sheets but the tiny round ones, I find them super easy to hang onto and use. Moveable around the face and not hard to clean if you spray it after your done. I have a fun scaly one with 'organic' dots. i think they call it pebble, I have the scales one to but I dont use it as much. I have a paisley one I use for butterflies and eye masks as well. a few others but I can talk forever.

I agree with the Doodles... The little oval shaped Bad A** ones are superb. They are thin, soft and flexible and contour so well. You can even lay them over the eye and no one has complained of discomfort yet (although I do warn people I am placing something on their eye for a second)

Thanks ladies! Checking those out now! I'd heard lots of good things about the BAM stencils, but had no idea where to find them for the best price.

Re: Query About Texture Stencils...
Glitterfly was using some at our gig yesterday that were REALLY nice... don't remember what brand was on them but she said they were from Silly Farm. Don't know if I'd use any of the other stencils, but the scales were nice.
Re: Query About Texture Stencils...
I found the BAM stencils at www.istencils.com
They weren't out of stock on anything like all the other sites are, and the shipping was only $2.99! Each of the small stencils was $4.00. I got 2 of the ones I've been looking for forever but they were always out of stock everywhere else.

Re: Query About Texture Stencils...
I think rather than brand one might ask what it the favorite thickness, as any stencil works if you like the design. Bam (which does have good designs) is about 7 mil (I cut my own stencils and they are this thickness) - considered middle of the road in thickness making it a great option for face art as well as body and crafts. This thickness is good for sponge, buki brush and airbrush.
Stencil run roughly 2-3 mil, 6-7mil and 10 mil.
