monster, snake or dragon texture technique

played all day with some new techniques akin to the sushi palette that Rebecca is using. I use scraps strategically placed to give a texture definition.
Very fun and addicting, I made three pots so far, I put them on with a smoothie blender but just ordered some foam pouncers in different sizes.

Here is an example of what I came up with using this technique.

here they are, Rebecca's are much nicer, but hey it was with slivers of paint, no waste!!

That's a great idea to use colour combinations to create certain effects... I am definitely going to have to play around with it.

This would be nice in a small circular container...going to have to find the perfect size now! Like a small artycake or TAG, but circular for mops or dotter wands

I used the lids to some small paint pots or glitter pots

how do you make this? Just put some paint in there and press it down?

Yes Angie but you have to try different colors next to each other to see how they work and if I don't like it, I insert another color and squish it in

CottonKandy: The DFX palette size cakes and the 15g Kryolan cakes are good size round pots for making sushi cakes.

This is my new "steam-sushi" cake for steampunk designs and bronze dragons. It's FAB gold, copper and bronze with a VERY narrow strip of Wolfe black around the outer edge.
