Re: Please Post Submissions Here!
Posting ideas are very welcome. Just make it clear which are submissions.
Re: Please Post Submissions Here!
yay, I finally had the time and paint to try out my idea . The model is once again my 7-year old daughter. I hope you like the design, because I would REALLY love to win those paints .
Ok, these are the things I used:
And the picture above also shows pretty much all of the things I got *G*. The paints are Snazaroo, except for the fire-cake, which I made from Grimas (I made the cake for someone else, and used the leftovers to make a little one for myself ). The brushes are from around, I have no clue...
I wanted to make the 4 seasons, but not entirely as four different pictures, but making it look like the seasons blended into each other. Therefore the base is a little "swirled".
I painted the sun using a one-stroke brush and a firecake + a round sponge.
The ice is again made with a one-stroke brush. The leaves the same method but a smaller brush, and in different colors.
More details on the daffodil and some grass. Thank you perry Noia for telling me the english name of the flower
Black outline, and some touchup on the sun...
Added some white highlights and glitter!
Voila - the final result.

Nice Work Lonnie!! And your little girl... she's going to be a man killer when she's older that's for sure!

Re: Please Post Submissions Here!
Now...this makes sense to me! Hope it translates.
After I read the theme, I had this great image of half a Jack Skellington face (from Tim Burton's Nightmare Before Christmas - it's a seasonal transition story all by itself!), and half of Frosty the Snowman's face...et voila.
Also, I have no idea how to make it go slower so all of the caption-y bits make it on in time...let me know if anyone needs more clarification!
Just in case:
Used:
Kryolan Interferenze BG
Kryolan Interferenze 838G
Snaz white
Snaz orange
DFX Black
DFX White
Sponges

#2 round
#0 liner

Thank you Judy, and I must say that my husband and I did consider buying a BIG dog for when she starts dating *G*
Re: Please Post Submissions Here!
Big dog...hrm...I think your hubby needs to buy a shotgun (even if you only ever keep it empty) and have him sit out in the living room pretending to clean it....
I bet her dates have her home early and never dare to be late!

Re: Please Post Submissions Here!
Hahaha, there's a country song called "Cleaning this gun" by...Rodney Atkins. Very funny. It has to do with his daughter dating
Re: Please Post Submissions Here!
It's just that it is a good deal easier to get a big dog than a shot gun here in Denmark . But still sitting in front of the house with this BIG dog, teaching him to "fetch", could maybe do the trick?
Re: Please Post Submissions Here!
hehe..more like, have your husband wrap his arm in that 'attack dog gear' and sit there yellingl, "ATTACK....." and then let them see the dog go all out with his big teeth on that arm...
I think I might pee myself if I was her date. hehe

This is my first challenge. I hope the images come through ok. Still learning how to put them on here. I'm sorry that I didn't take pictures as I was completing the design. I used Snazaroo paints for all of it. Thanks!!
