Re: Show me the masks!
Helena, definitely seeing improvement already. Wondering if when you do your teardrops you could put a very little distance between them just to give some definition. Denise's daughter threw out a tip about not letting simple flower petals touch in the center and it definitely improved the look of my flowers. Linda and Ashley, Beautiful!

Gorgeous work Ash and Tatusya!
I'm thinking maybe I need to broaden my strokes to achieve the look I'm going for. Thanks for all the help and suggestions everyone!

Helena, can't wait to see where you're going with your stuff. Your lace mask is in my inspiration folder BTW.

Sam, I soooo love your style. Can I ask, did you use a brush or a sponge for those bases? Looks like a brush, but then it looks like you blended it out with a sponge.
thanks!
Re: Show me the masks!
Psalmbook, I just bought a bunch of those same gems - the ones like a little pink tiara - we must have hit the same Michael's sale! I'm upset to know they didn't stick well - haven't even used any of mine yet. Curious to hear any responses of what has worked for people.
Re: Show me the masks!
Beautiful masks in here girls!!
I think I am going through a stage of painting almost everything like a maks... they are so much fun to do!

Re: Show me the masks!
Oh my! Gotta get me some pretty models! Vintage skin (love the term, Linda) just isn't worth taking a pic of. But as always inspiring art there Daizy!

Thanks so much! It's a sponge for the bases. I load up with pretty wet paint on the sharp edge of a cut sponge and make the edges then blend it in.
And Daizy! Stop taking my breath away with those masks! I'll run out of air! So great!
Re: Show me the masks!
Daizy -
WOW! I'm curious if you used a stencil for the first teal/white mask. I thought I recognized a bad a$$ stencil for the 2nd and 3rd pics.
Also, what paint did you use for your base?

Re: Show me the masks!
I want a video from Daizy on "How I Get My Girls to Let Me Paint Them So Much"!!
Re: Show me the masks!
Aww thanks guys
Gina.. I hate to admit it but it requires a lot of bribery. My youngest still seems quite into but I am really trying not to over do it on her. And if she is in a grumpy mood she becomes very particular as to what I can and can't paint which really is not helpful.
I mostly use Snazaroo for the bases although there are a few I have done testing out some new FAB colours. I think there are probably a mix of all sorts.
The details on the first mask is all done with a very fine paint work and a wee bit of patience.. its not a mask I would offer at a busy event.

Re: Show me the masks!
Daisy, I LOVE your exquisite work and your models are simply adorable! You have been such an inspiration ; )
I do mostly masks, too, because they are quick and practical for parties & restaurant gigs where kids can eat without messing up the designs.
Happy Painting,
Susan
