2 Big festivals coming up

Saturday my Daughter and I are doing the big Boo Bash for the YMCA with another face painter and 3 balloon twisters. Last year we had 2 and 2 and we where swamped. We're getting paid more this year too. It's inside the gym so don't have to worry about cold. On Halloween we're doing a first annual truck or treat put on by local police department and have bought a lot of decorations and made some to spookify our purple party tent. Hope it doesn't get too cold. We also have back to back festivals at Christmas outside. Has anybody painted outside in the cold? Is the paints go on smooth? Will the parents even let them in the cold? We'll try to take lots of pictures of the Halloween events to post.

Very true, the Boo Bash was awesome. Instead of dressing as Clowns my Daughter and I dressed for Halloween and they loved us a lot more people took our cards and we did more Halloween faces not just cats, flowers,and butterflies. We did zombies, vampires, skulls, werewolf's,fairies and devils. We were swamped.

This is the best job, isn't it? I think I have more fun doing it that my customers do....
I had a corporate Halloween party last night. Some kids wanted to be painted to match their costumes...others gave me carte blanche.. Some were leaving the party and going to the "Zoo Boo".... which I tried to get into but they have volunteers putting on little cheek art. Although this year the zoo will be letting me do their "Penguin Palooza" and actually will be paying me for it....1,500 kids expected for a 2 1/2 hour event ....YIKES!!!!

Syracuse area has had snow the last few days...expecting more tonight!!!! At least only about 3 inches, though.

The truck or treat we're doing Monday is a first in it's area. They did advertising in the utility bills through the city's newsletter and sent flyers home throughout the schools. We live in the next district so we could have 13 kids we could have 1000. Just have to be ready for anything.

What is truck or treat and who puts it on...

I meant trunk or treat and the Reeds Spring police department is putting it on. They get all kinds of businesses to come and give treats and coupons out of their trunks and they have games, a haunted house and us painting faces. They couldn't find a sponcer so we're painting per face.
