New at doing Festivals Empty New at doing Festivals

I have never done a festival before and signed up to do one. I have no idea how much painting supplies I will need. I don't want to run out of paint. Has anyone ever kept track of the amount of paint they use? I know it will depend on the faces I do but I just need to know how much on average you go thru doing a festival. How much black and white? How many face can really come out of 30g cake? How many sponges? Any help is greatly appreciated.

30g cake is a good amount! that should last you for a couple festivals. It depends though. Most kits with the smaller cakes say it's about 50 faces. 30g is at least 6 times that. that amounts to about 6 festivals (if you paint 50 faces). 50 is more than I've done in a day, if you're doing 50 I think you'll be pretty tired. Best for managing high volume is offering the quicker designs and focus on crowd control and lines. In answer to your question About how many in a festival? It totally depends, is it a kids festival? It could be that you're totally slammed or it could be boring for a couple hours ~ could be a mixture of both too. My advice is to focus on streamlining tricks for time, if you're expecting high volume. I'm not that experienced though - perhaps someone else on here has better advice

Dear ShaSha Cash:
Where are you from?
If you go into your Profile, above, and type in your general location, you can get specific answers to your questions regarding brands of paint available in your locale, prices of paint and availability, pricing for your festival, and signage.
What brand(s) of paint, and how much paint do your have in your kit?

I wish I could I don't know how to change my account in this format. I live in western Kentucy. The nearest big city would be 2 hours away and it would be Nashville. The festivals around here are county wide or small towns. But every once in a while there is a huge festival and people come from all over. I am just trying to get a general idea of how much paint will cover how many faces. If I do one stoke crowns and if I do 20 in an hour how many one stroke cakes will I need. Or if I do 20 Spider-Man's in an hour how much red and black will I need in a 8 hour day. I just want to make sure I don't disappoint a child who has been standing in line for an hour to find out I ran out of the paint I needed to paint his face.
