Anyone use this chair?
I'd love to get a cool tall directors chair like I've seen people post about, but I'm not ready to spend the big $$ on ordering one just yet (I'd like more paint first please! lol) but I also prefer to stand while painting so it would be nice to have a chair to bring to parties I think and I saw this one at ikea...

I know I would probably have to bring a little stool too...but maybe this would work?

Re: Anyone use this chair?
I believe I just saw this chair today on a promo that Kerry Ann made (which is also awesome!). It looks nice and professional.

I do use that very same chair. It's okay but I am planning to replace it with a tall director's chair. You are right, you definitely do need a stool to go with it, I got a folding one that works nicely.
The thing I do not like about it is that without arms, I am always afraid small children will fall off it. And some of them feel kind of nervous in it, I have them hold onto the seat with their hands but a chair with arms would make them (and me) feel safer.
Also, sometimes when they slide off the front of it, the back legs lift a bit and I have to catch the chair so it doesn't fall on their back.
It was cheap though, and for me it was a good way to try out painting while standing which I now know that I prefer, so I'm ready to invest in a better one.

I have that chair and I only used two times, very insecure for children (I put a belt on it) It works ok for adults.
Re: Anyone use this chair?
I've painted mine! Love the chair, you can take a look in my gallery!
When you do purchase one, keep in mind they sell 2 different sizes! Take the tall one!!!
And you could check craigslist if you want to paint the chair... I bought mine at marktplaats for only €7,- (marktplaats is the dutch craigslist)
Take care, love Jantien
No problem here with the kids, the climb on it by them self... I just support the back of the chair!

It looks very nice, but I'd be afraid of the kids falling through the back or off the side.

I have that chair too, but I am with Arty, they are no that grate with kids spetialy toddlers, remember they move a lot, I got two high directors chairs searching at craigslist, and it was a bargain, $25 each, I bought two, they are grate!!! I paint my logo on the cambas, I love them!!!
Re: Anyone use this chair?
thanks for the replies...I WAS worried about little kids on this chair, and seeing as they are the majority of my customers maybe I'd better wait. I'm going to keep looking on craigslist and paint sitting down for the time being!
