Re: Moonlight Glitter Tattoo Kits?
I checked them out and calculated that they work out at 68cents each. But it's a bit annoying you can't choose your designs, or see exactly what you'll get.
Re: Moonlight Glitter Tattoo Kits?
I have one and use it it is the biggest kit my brother bought it for me or I probebly wouldnt have got it, not the same but thought this would give you an idea
I hate the glue prefer prosaide
love the holder
This is to give you an idea of what it has (you will see a couple of silly farm ones as I stick them in tha holder) unfortunatly most of the really good ones are gone as I used them.
this is the kit I got I have added more brushes taken out glue - done my thing to it The big brush isnt in the picture
to give you an idea of glitter colours
here is a freehand one i did with just the moonlight kit
I Love it - hate the glue, needs more brushes, tattoo remover good, glue applicator good. wish you could choose as most my armbands, tribals, butterflys and dragons gone now.
My daughter has a latex allergy - not servere but a nasty rash and the moonlight glue dosn't seem to irritae her I checked a small spot on her (but I stick with prosaide as it said on some site or other its latex free & ran it by her doctor)
Hope it helps

Re: Moonlight Glitter Tattoo Kits?
I have it and the glitter is great, glue could be better because it doesn't have any color in it when you apply it so it is hard to see what you already put it.
The stencils are super easy to use, but I prefer more in depth and custom design stencils (I make my own.
It was definitely the right price for the product, but I started using Prosaide glitter glue instead.

Re: Moonlight Glitter Tattoo Kits?
To jazz
If you are talking about the kit I got I like it alot, except the glue. The bottles are sort of a cross bettween puffer and pots they are glass bottom and sort of rubber top. This means you can take of the top and use it as a pot. but the puffer isn't that puffy. it sort of falls in a line like an hour glass. when you puff it.
the oil has been great for cleaning the brushes and removing them of my kids it works quicker than baby oil.
ther glue has a slight irridecent glow when wet good for free hand as you gan see it. but the prosaide seems to last a bit longer. but there applicater is like the nail polish tip type as opposed to the lip gloss tip. i prefer there applicator but my glue.
each of the glitter vials has about half the amount as the small american body art ones. but each colour is different except you get two blacks.
Ther brushes hold up good compared to the glimmer brand I have destroyed two glimmer brushes but still have the moonlight ones without hairs straying etc. I wish thy gave you more of them.
it has some little star and hexagon embelishments also tweezers to get them out and place them.
the best part I feel is the holder you get two holders you can either hang as they have renforced gromet/eyelet holes or as I do lay them on the table. and I simply fold it up and both fit in the box on top of all the glitter. everything I need fits in the box. which is 30cm x 21cm x 12cm
I would definatly recomend this as a trial kit. although had it not been a gift I probebly never would have got it.
Cons
I hate that I have no choice on tats but I can refill with what I like. and I was happy with about 75% of what I got. They are way better than the silly farm ones. and I would still recomend getting prosaide, but that could be just is me. and the glitter dose not have as much as the american body art ones.
Picture of kit to go- the folded display sheets on top with about 100 tattoos, some extra cheep brushes down the back, moonlight and glimmer brushes and twezzers on top. prosaide stuck in there
Glitter colours - Lid of black up back, see the puffer pot combo. and american body art bottle to next to it to give you an idea of sise, little jar of holographic stars and hexagones below it, the moonlight glue and brushes there too.
don't know if you can see it well but all the colours are slightly different
and I am lost as to how I would use the white tray , found I wasted more glitter with it but i dust of person onto it for now due to glitter containment.

Re: Moonlight Glitter Tattoo Kits?
Just curious, do you guys gather all your "excess" glitter and use it to make a multicolor glitter, throw it away or what?
Re: Moonlight Glitter Tattoo Kits?
I try to be judicious in my use...whether with a poofer or a brush & will brush it towards the center of the design, tamp it down & the brush it off with a great big brush. I figure by the time I gather the crumbs to save a penny, I can do another tattoo. Plus it look really cool as the design suddenly morphs out of the blob of glitter...
Re: Moonlight Glitter Tattoo Kits?
I wouldn't save the glitter, I too, try to just super careful about how much I use. I'm not a germphobe, but I don't like the idea of reusing sticky stencils or saving glitter I brush off a person to use on another...it's literally saving pennies worth of product by wasting dollars worth of time.
Sue, thanks for the review and pics!

Re: Moonlight Glitter Tattoo Kits?
I tried to save glitter at first the only way it was economical was with that tray. but found it was a gross colour due to the mix of colours mainly the black. and trying to tip into another container ended up with more of it over me and stuck to my hands etc. it is easyer to bin it and in the time I save can do that extra tattoo, wich I soppose pays for the waste without the hassel.
If I am doing it to my kids/relatives at home and its a nice colour i somtimes do but I have the time then not preasure.

Re: Moonlight Glitter Tattoo Kits?
Hi, I'm new and I know this thread is kinda old but I thought I'd mention that they might have changed the glue in this kit. I recently bought this kit and tried right away on my 4 year old. she has had her new glitter tattoo for 8 days now with no fading or weardown. I'm also testing with my nieces and nephews (mica with the boys who are 9 and 11 and didn't want glitter but loved the mica). Anyways I found that I can get the glue for real cheap with cheap shipping but haven't bought more yet. There is probably heavy priced taxes and all coming form China.

Re: Moonlight Glitter Tattoo Kits?
I have had it for a long while (2 years now, maybe 3):
Prosaide is a better glue.
I HATE the hard plastic bottles and replaced all of them with poofer ones. I found that the glitter didn't always come out of the hard ones easily and squeezing the pliable necks didn't give me the control I wanted.
I have no use for the little pallette that came with it.
The stencils were incredibly random, including a pot leaf. Many are tribals which can only be used once before the points get all gummed up but they are a good quality material.
The cleanser is fantastic that it comes with. I wish I could just buy that and the case for my crews because I would love more of each without the hard side bottles and such.

Re: Moonlight Glitter Tattoo Kits?
I am super confused because in some threads I see everyone saying how they LOVE the moonlight glue but this older thread everyone seems to hate it. Did they change the glue?
Re: Moonlight Glitter Tattoo Kits?
I wrote on this one over a year ago. At that time Moonlight was the only glue I had ever used. It is hard to see where you have applied it, but that is the only draw back. Since then I have tried SEVERAL different brand and I cant find a glue that lasts as long and nice looking as Moonlight. I am a moonlight girl now.
Re: Moonlight Glitter Tattoo Kits?
Ok thanks so much Manabanana, I just ordered the kit and hope I am going to like it. I have only used tulip before this kit, which I did not like much. I decided to add the glitter tats due to high demand lol. Now I'm just trying to get all my facts together so I can take a fair crack at it. Could you give a itemized list of everything your kit includes for glitter tattoos, I seen some good ideas like the lint roller.... Do you seem to have better success with the glue tinted?

trust me you made i great choose, my only regret is that i wish i got the 100$ kit instead of the 30$
Best

Re: Moonlight Glitter Tattoo Kits?
The reason I like it a little tinted is because I am legally blind and cant see where I put the glue. It is just an extra step to apply more if I missed a spot. No big deal.
I have been using tulip glue because I ran out of my current glue and tulip is at Michael Craft Store. So I picked it up. Great glue if you only want the tats to last a day

Re: Moonlight Glitter Tattoo Kits?
I've seen this exact kit on eBay recently, and considered it because the price was so good and the kit looked pretty comprehensive! Nice to see the reviews, thanks.

Re: Moonlight Glitter Tattoo Kits?
I will probably try to tint it as well because I to have vision issues, just a small flake of any paint? Kammy, Rosie was great with helping me decide to buy the kit ) she found the best price here http://www.aliexpress.com/item/38-Colors-Temporary-tattoo-kit-Body-Art-Deluxe-Kit-Free-gift-PH-K006-free-shipping/609077951.html?src=ibdm_d03p0558e02r02 . Thanks again Rosie! I should have it in a couple days! The vendor is shipping from their US warehouse in LA so I get it in time!
Re: Moonlight Glitter Tattoo Kits?
I've just ordered the $40-ish dollar kit. Crossing fingers it will be as good as everyone says and I can get the hang of sticky stencils. This is a whole new area for me.
Re: Moonlight Glitter Tattoo Kits?
It's new to me to Kara, maybe we can learn and grow together I have tried the tulip kit and didn't much care for it. Hopefully this will be better or it will soon be listed in the swap shop! haha
