WHAG-TV - An earthquake measuring 5.8 on the Richter Scale centered 9 miles south of Mineral, Virginia was felt throughout much of the four-state area around 1:50 p.m.

Wow! Glad everyone is ok. We sometimes forget that there are other areas in the US that have earthquakes besides CA.

I was in the movies against the back wall and we thought it was the projector malfuntioning. We had no clue until we turned our cell phones on to texts and messages of "are you alright?!?!?"

I thought I was just ill or dizzy. I grabbed my camera and shot this little video of my house swaying so slightly. You have to look closely at the sticks on the blinds to see the movement.

I guess some people in my area felt it, too. I didn't feel anything, but I was talking to some moms at soccer last night, and some of them felt it.
