Slammed my finger in the window!

Of course! Today is my first paying party and I slammed my finger in the window when closing it last night. It is the index finger and it is throbbing, swollen and blue this morning. I will have to just suck it up and ignore it while painting but man oh man. That "Murphy" (Murphy's Law) can take a big ol' hike any time now!

Ah, I feel for you!! Last Friday evening I fell and smashed the side of my hand badly, it was swollen and purple for a party I was painting at on Saturday. I took some Tylenol 3s, which helped with the pain but made me a little loopy! I had difficulty holding the brush properly but I guess I did okay... it was my first party in a couple of months, and I haven't done that many so I was nervous to begin with. Darn the luck, eh!!

OMGoodness! K..maybe I will take an Ibuprophen. That's a good idea. If you could manage with that much injured then I will suck it up even more because you were way worse off and still did the party. Mine is only the one finger. How's your hand doing now?

Oh I am having a duhhh! moment. LOL. this is my 4th time posting the same pics but I was on quick reply and couldn't figure out how to add the reply when done. Like duhhh..I was in the wrong spot.

Ouch! Sorry your finger got smashed! Those hurt sooo bad! My pinkie finger is just starting to feel a little better. I hit it on the corner of a counter, and it's been bruised and swollen for two weeks now. Ugh... we NEED our fingers! Hope yours feels better soon. I love all the pics!

Yes that was after. I slammed my finger last night. Wow Maggie...they look almost identical!

I've never done tigers so I was pleased with how these turned out without anything to reference. That wouldn't be too cool to bring to a party. Or maybe that is ok? You ladies are a huge inspiration. All I have ever done so far is itty bitty cheek ones for toddlers and the ones I do on myself.

Maggie..that's what we get for judging the age by the cover...I thought you were in your late 20's by your picture. And your age even shows up in the avatar area but I didn't notice it til just now. Lucky you..one of those timeless beauties. Genius looks like a youngster too...what's going on here? Does being a wearable art artist make age sit still if you start young enough?

I learned how to do the monster and tigers and the eye one from some fp books I ordered. I did ok but sure not as nice as the ones in the book once I had a chance to compare them...lol Shoulda brought the books with me I guess.
